Well ''made in Russia'' isn't exactly a mark of quality. Is it me or do Russian videogames make it really hard for the user to determine that they were in fact made in Russia?
Chinese ones kinda hide it also, really its kinda hard to tell outright where a game was made unless its part of some sale with games from a certain region.Well ''made in Russia'' isn't exactly a mark of quality.
"Hmm, I wonder where this game was made?"Is it me or do Russian videogames make it really hard for the user to determine that they were in fact made in Russia?
I dunno, no way to tell. But if I had to guess: France."Hmm, I wonder where this game was made?"
Right you are.I dunno, no way to tell. But if I had to guess: France.
I didn't like the game much. I am glad there are fans, and the developers gave a nice shout out to Streets of Rage 4 launching back in 2020."Hmm, I wonder where this game was made?"
Holy shit, that's funny. LolI didn't like the game much. I am glad there are fans, and the developers gave a nice shout out to Streets of Rage 4 launching back in 2020.
They de-pixellated the artwork? Gross.I've always hated the spritework of the Ace Attorney Trilogy pack. They just looked so muddy and unappealing. The excellent spritework in the Investigation showing how much better it could have been just makes me dislike it all the more.
It just occurred to me that Naughty Dog's output mirrors perfectly the history of trends re: The Protagonist, at least since the 90s.
1. The Funny/Cute Mascot (Crash Bandicoot)
Collect all the fruit!
2. The Edgy Teen Mascot (Jak and Daxter)
Collect all the fruit (you have a gun)!
3. The White Dude (Uncharted)
Hollywood ca. 2007-2016
4. The Hairy Dad (The Last of Us)
The devs grew up.
5. The Minority (The Last of Us Part II)
The devs grew up (and they're sorry).
I don't blame you as I have no interest either. I really have not touched a lego game since 2003.Lego Hoizon Zero Dawn is a rare case of game I wouldn't play even if given it for free. Nothing against the Lego games they're oft enjoyable, got an unfinished Skywalker saga save file been meaning to eventually go back to. Nothing against HZD,l either, it can do no wrong thanks to the diplomatic immunity I've generously bestowed upon it.
Is just Lego games are a consistent subgenre with particular set of traits that when added to HZD kinda chemically neutralises all the exquisite good shit -*dons faux harxcore gamer hat* shit so good I rinsed the whole goddamn spectrum of difficulty modes with all assists disabled *lobs hat away* sorry, my neighbour's a loud twat whenever visitors come round. Anyway Lego are so consistent, am in no doubt of the end product format and have never been more certain it ain't for me. Pass it on to the kiddos, while sir official adult here finishes off Mario Wonder
The Skywalker saga does do a bit more with its combat than the rest like combos and even infinite juggling tricks, if it's any consolation. Is why it held attention more for me at least. Well, that and its prequel trilogy is likely the only version I can force myself to commit to finishing lolI don't blame you as I have no interest either. I really have not touched a lego game since 2003.
Then I take it you won't be playing them anymore then? All Video Games Suck Ass, hottest take you'll get from me.
Naughty Dog's first game was a Mortal Kombat rip-off - they've never been trendsetters. You say "The Edgy Teen Mascot (Jak and Daxter)", but that was Jak 2; Jak and Daxter was a cartoony 3D platformer that was relatively lighthearted. It was only after GTA3 got big that ND suddenly decided to turn their new IP into an edgy open-world.It just occurred to me that Naughty Dog's output mirrors perfectly the history of trends re: The Protagonist, at least since the 90s.
