How is that desperate? It took no effort, no commitment, and 6 seconds to type.

Ya'll unambiguously accuse me of lies all the time. If a question from me suggesting even that possibility comes off as desperate, imagine what you look like.
I'm pretty sure it's got more to do with being anti-fascist

If they're going to write an article like that and get the details wrong, it'd be better not to write it at all. They didn't just remove some filler. They aired it in two different ways, once in the ads for the interview and a second time when they aired the interview, and one had only the first half where the other had only the second half, creating the illusion that the same question was answered in two totally different ways.

And to her credit, I don't think that's a meaningless sentence. It's not super well phrased, but her whole answer to the question should have been something like "I know Netanyahu is listening because a lot of Israel's actions have changed in response to our requests. And because we know he's listening to us, that makes it even more important that we continue to insist that the war needs to end." With only the first half, her answer looks like "yeah, a bunch of this war is because we told him to." With only the second half, it looks like her answer is "we'll keep insisting even if he doesn't listen." You need the whole thing to make a semi-coherent answer to the question, and 60 minutes bungled the crap out of it.
So how is this an election-chsnging answer? Because last I checked, Trump won. Yet here he is making a planet-sized mountain out of a mimicroscic molehill.

"The biggest broadcasting scandal in history" everyone.

Excerpted transcript from this youtube video.....

"I mean, obviously, they could just ask Elon Musk to see who's manufacturing the Cyber trucks to "Micron Precision".

Um listen, this is related to the topic of this video, but, like, this guy.... he is just such a dumbass. Like, everything he says is so
transparently attempting to sound smart but also obviously not knowing what you're talking about. Like, this is just a stupid thing to say.

Like, why why would you need 10 Micron accuracy on your cyber truck? Where did you get that number, how are you measuring, have you made a model where you have 10 Micron accuracy across this whole stupid truck, do you know what the accuracy on like the joints of a Toyota Corolla is? Like, why would you need 10 microns?

Like obviously this guy just thinks since he knows the word Micron is going to sound smart, but it doesn't, it just, it's every flag in the world that this guy has never manufactured anything.
I just, I just feel like I've spent the last 15 years of my life being like "really like this guy convinced you he was smart?"

I mean, if you fell for this at any point in the last 15 years you need to evaluate your scientific literacy, like what about this says that this guy knows what he's talking about, because he doesn't, and
it's crazy, and it's still happening.

I don't understand. Like this is embarrassing. This is pathetic. Like, if someone said this in a meeting people would be like what the fuck are you talking about, why, why would you want that, where did you get that number, or who is manufacturing that?

But I mean that guy probably doesn't have a billion dollars, and if you have a billion dollars apparently that's enough to trick people into thinking you're a scientist.

Like I can't, I, I wish these people would just go to college so they could actually learn things and they would just leave us alone.

But anyway.... you know metal is actually kind of easy to get super high precision on, but..."

Bamboo straws and sugarcane straws are pretty great. They don't melt in your drink like paper straws do, but they're biodegradable and compostable, and bamboo is super renewable.
Bamboo has all sorts of uses, and is easy to grow. It should be exploited more.

Its kind of funny to imagine drinking something through a giant, hollow piece of spaghetti.
Assuming you solved the fragility issue, the idea is intriguing.

In general its ''funny'' to see MAGA radicalize. The self proclaimed ''Peace supporters'' suddenly cheering when the supposedly peaceful president starts saying he wants to forcefully annex lands from his allies.

But what's truly interesting is how MAGA morphed into everything they once claimed to hate when Trump unveiled his plan for ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Sending American soldiers to die in the Middle East to fight terrorism...that's BUSH! And MAGA swore they haaaated Bush. Trump the ''supremely peaceful president''(pfff!) was supposed to be a rejection of Bush and his ''neocons''. Some MAGA loonies try to spin the ethnic cleansing as ''Trump just wanting to make Gaza a nice place to live for them'', but that's exactly like Bush too. After all Bush rarely said it was about oil or settling old grudges. No, he said it was to 'help'' the Middle East by installing democracies.

And this newfound embrace of Bush era politics and talking points come with an interesting set of implications. It implies that neither the immorality of unjustified wars, nor the patriotic concern about American boys dying in foreign wars were real concerns they legitimately had with Bush. Instead it seems Republicans, both old and MAGA were fine with all of that, and that their real concern was just about the US being unable to win those wars. Their true problem with Bush might merely have been his personal impopularity which required him to be made into an easily disposed off scapegoat so they could go repackage his politics under a new ''America first' branding. Kinda interesting how all those neocoms MAGA supposedly hated were all around Trump in his first term.

Trump's extreme dislike for Europe or international organisations and institutions is also a akin (albeit far more extreme and eratic) to he Bush's administration's stance on those organisations the moment they critisized their unjust wars.

Its all Bush in a more unhinged and repulsive package. I always said Trump was never an alternative but a continuation of the Bush era Republican party and how nice it is that Trump even started to agree with me.

There was no morphing, they've always been this way. Take it from someone who spends a lil too much time observing their media, influencers and communities: the reality is far uglier than many assume, and they exploit your tendencies to want to see the best, the most hopeful within them. But it's an old con. People keep forgetting. People keep taking them and their vast highly-funded news/misinformation networks n ecosystem at face value, despite over half a century of consistent evidence that they'll say anything as long as it gets them to power, and when they're in power they'll say anything to deflect responsibility onto everyone else. Plz try to keep all this in memory, though is understandably difficult when lives have to lived, struggles have to be endured and tragedies have to be confronted both on the personal and societal level. But they've been taking advantage of this generational political amnesia for so long now, stripping every new event of context (or relying on mere omission, usually, thanks to inadequate political education provided in legacy news), morally flattening the rest to claim it's merely no different than what you'd do - we have to be serious about what needs to change to even have the slightest fighting chance, cos what's been tried is clearly not working and actively just helping them instead.

You can literally apply this to the liberal media too...
