But don't worry! RFK Jr. has said that the outbreak that caused the first measles death in this country in ten years, and required oxygen or intubation in other patients. is "not unusual". Buckle in for the new normal!

Seriously, what is wrong with you people? How is it on the Secretary of Health and Human Services to make sure everyone is vaccinated against measles? Vaccines aren't forced on people so obviously there will be some that don't get vaccinated. Where were your complaints against previous people that had the job that weren't someone you had extreme bias against?

How is during this time frame measles cases unusual?

Apparently the part of Texas that was hit with this measles outbreak was an area known for Mennonite communities. That's a religious group that doesn't vaccinate, and their views on vaccination don't have anything to do with RFK Jr. or the far right. It's entirely possible that this outbreak would have happened under any administration.

Maybe this will convince more people to vaccinate against measles (though I'm not holding my breath).

Oh yeah, I'm aware (and have said so myself); what's really troubling is RFK Jr.'s reaction.

But they're white rapists, so they'll fit in fine with Trump.
Aren't the Tates bi-racial though? So rather than...ahem ''upstanding rapists'' they're instead dangers to keeping the white blood ''pure''
Both brothers father is black and mother is white. Their dad was an abusive asshole that is now dead. So if you want to know where their attitude comes from, it starts with him and the family members around them whom all made excuses for his or their selfish actions and enabled them.

...But Russia has invaded Europe, three times in 20 years. And it occupies territory of three European countries.
But my original statement was pertaining to that BS that I've seen new stories about and what users here have posted actual concerns about. Russia's army is a joke.

And 2 more stories about it:

There are more than one state that claims to be the successor state to the Soviet Union. But Imperial Russia sure had territory and seeing Russia as the successor state to the Soviet Union is valid, so never mind, I withdraw that erroneous and pointless pedantry.
I'm pretty sure you knew what I meant. I didn't mean it in anyway that was implying some other lands are legitimate Russia territory or historically Russian territory. I don't really care enough about Russia nor do I know enough about Russia history either. It's just that they did have those lands before and that was all that I meant.

The broad, and many others, were dumb enough to vote for him. When he made it clear, he only wants your pain fear and hatred. Trump don't give a damn about anyone, but himself. I'm not sorry miss, but I do not feel bad for you nor do I pity you. You all did it to yourselves. Now live with your choice and deal with it.

Russia's army, despite drastically underperforming in Ukraine, can feasibly overpower any individual European country. Ukraine has been able to defend for this long precisely because of a coalition of countries providing material support; alone it could not.

Were Ukraine to fall, other countries in Eastern Europe-- chiefly Poland, Moldova and a few others-- feasibly fear being attacked within a few years. Their security previously relied on NATO standing behind them-- alone they would fall too.

Now envision a situation in which the US ignores its commitments to NATO, or even withdraws. Will European countries alone be willing to provide the full level of defensive support required for their individual members to defend?

Currently yes, the will is there. But the European far-right, Putin's main (and financially sponsored) support base in Europe, eats away at it. Long-term Europe needs to maintain its ability to defend itself without America, and protect its institutions internally from the far-right.

The Russian military remains one of the strongest on the planet, if we look at individual countries. It is successfully opposed through collective action. That cannot just be taken for granted; solidarity needs to be fostered.

Russia can't take say France or Germany or UK. If Europe can't fend off Russia on their own, then it's their fault. You know in a standard civilization building game, you can't ignore the military aspect. And if that is what Europe has been doing because of the US, then, again, that's on Europe.

Russia's failures are due in part to "the valiant resistance of Ukraine's army and civilian defense forces," Kaplan said. "But it's also due to the fact that the Russian army just isn't very good." Seriously, "I've watched the Russian army for years. I knew they weren't good, but I never suspected they'd were this bad," retired U.S. Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling said on X. "Corruption has taken over their ranks, their government, their leadership on a scale that is mafia-like."

Trump having an oven ready mineral deal ready and sabotaging it just because he hates how Ukraine fought back against his beloved Russia is certainly a funny event in anti woke world. Or it would have been if it wasn't so vile.

But it's not surprising. Trump has the impulse control of a cranky eight-year-old, and bullies see defending yourself against a bully as an act of aggression.

Romania chose to persue the charges in the first place! By dropping their responsibility, you letting all the victims of sexual slavery, rape, and abuse down! You're letting women, teenage girls, children, and the families of all those victims fucking down! Get your head in the fucking game, Romania! Someone else's problem my ass! Don't forget, plenty of your own people are victims of these two assholes! If it happened to any of you, or some relative/friend you care about. You would be screaming for vengeance, bloody murder, justice, or all of the above!
Romania had laws making corruption legal. Many politicians want it back

Money always wins over justice. Most countries have the same problem, they just better at hiding it

Just to be clear, the vaccination rate there is 65%. Unfortunately, that's not enough to stop deaths completely but it means the outbreak will be slowed

So, I wouldn't hold my breath. Most people are protected. The bigger concern is if it mutates

Like most criminals, it's good to understand why they got there. But that doesn't mean there shouldn't be justice

The whole point of backgrounds is finding ways to mitigate people falling through the cracks. Unfortunately, this step is always skipped
