Rifle ammo can be smaller than I assumed.

It depends on the rifle and what you’re shooting. For reference, I think .223 Remington is very similar to the 5.56 they use in M4s or M16. And 30-06 I’m pretty confident is what your granddaddy’s M1 Garand or Lee Enfield fired.

Those were .223. I'm assuming they belong to the America fuck yeah person living behind all the flags, but I don't know why they would have their car on the other side of the street.

My granddaddies might have used a Peruvian Short Rifle and a Karabiner 98K, but the Short Rifle would have been chambered for 30-06, yeah.

You're half right. The Lee-Enfield fired .303 British, which was slightly less powerful than the 30-06.
Unless it was the M1917, which was what you get when US factories making guns for the British switch over to making guns for their own country once the US joined WW1.

Today I learned that passing a kidney stone - even a small one - sucks a whole fucking lot.
I unfortunately know your pain. The word that came to mind when I passed one was "excruciating".

However, we can both feel a bit better knowing that neither of us are a Sri Lankan man who passed one that was 5.26 inches/13.37 cm long and weighed 1.76 pounds/801 grams.

May the powers that be have mercy on that poor man's . . . . . soul.

WTF…

Aren’t these stones still, well, round-ish? At that point I’d assume it would need surgical removal.

Anyways, awww another reason to love cheetahs -

Huh...google predictive search apparently knew I was going to look for Sharks of the Corn after looking at a poster for the film on FB. Though I did just google Noah's Shark after seeing a poster for that as well.

(Also, the last entry in the Bring it On cheerleader franchise is apparently a low budget slasher film)

Dammit, can't find it again either. Anyway it was a captioned screenie of some kind of valuable antiques themed show.

The valuable antique being depicted?

I learned that there is a German word for something that happens to me all the time. Treppenwitz. Roughly, it translates to "staircase wit", and refers to that really good comeback that you think of while walking up the stairs to your house.
