Seems a little bit early to me to be saying that's a possibility, but you do you I suppose. It was just an example of how short the game could be. My point was that if, at any time, he starts getting bored he can go for the win.

Update: I am stuck on the third mission and I noticed there's a checkpoint issue or checkpoints not saving properly. It might be due to playing a PS4 game on a PS5. I might have to restart the mission. I am taking a break for now, and playing some Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX. I am doing so more Modern Warfare 2 and goofing around grabbing intel.I decided to give Specialist Difficulty a shot in Infinite Warfare. Wish me luck, because it is tough, but still easier than Veteran. I passed the first mission and in the middle of Mission 2.
I'm like 70% sure the intent is actually to get you to discuss your findings with your friends, build up an information network between you. There's a lot of games back in the day that were designed that way, like the original Legend of Zelda or The Tower of Druaga. It's just that the world being less personal these days, in order to get info from other people, you have to go to a wiki or to GameFAQs rather than actually sharing info with friends.Just a reminder of one thing that pisses me off about these kinds of games- the obscurity of it all. They really just expect us to read guides for these games and that just sucks.
I restarted the mission, and all of the checkpoints are working like they're supposed to now. I don't understand how this happens when playing a AAA PS4 game on a PS5 that is supposed to be polished. The PS5 pop-up screen does give a heads up when playing Infinite Warfare on these new consoles, but it sucks they don't do anything to patch out possible glitches like this.Update: I am stuck on the third mission and I noticed there's a checkpoint issue or checkpoints not saving properly. You could always call the Nintendo Tip-Line! Or wait for Nintendo Power to cover it.I'm like 70% sure the intent is actually to get you to discuss your findings with your friends, build up an information network between you. Actually, the reason Tower of Druaga flopped in the West is because people didn't realize they were supposed to compare notes to figure out how to get and use all the items. Meanwhile, in Japan, where arcades would have guestbooks full of Druaga lore, it's considered a landmark influential title. And when it was re-released on Wiiware in 2009, everybody hated it because the only way to beat it was to look up a guide. You could always call the Nintendo Tip-Line! This is the first time I've heard of Tower of Druaga. An arcade game where you need to take notes is kind of an odd design. I'm not surprised it flopped on re-release, games that don't spell everything out for the player or give much guidance do pretty poorly for a modern audience. Most people don't have the patience to take notes and experiment. It's not that you need other people, it's just that you need to have patience.Actually, the reason Tower of Druaga flopped in the West is because people didn't realize they were supposed to compare notes to figure out how to get and use all the items. I think there's a Namco Museum release on either the DS or 3DS that puts a pre-made 'guestbook' on the bottom screen that fills out as you play so you can refer to it, too.
How far are you in Deltarune?Got some indie games to detox from Baldur's Gate 3, so I got Deltarune and Ruffy and the Riverside. Deltarune is very Undertale-ish.And Ruffy and the Riverside feels like a game I would've liked if not for the rather amaturistic manner it's cobbled together. Reminded me a bit of A Hat in Time.
Very early still, I just met the prince dude. How far are you in Deltarune?
What build are you running?Because I just love to hate my life; Returning to Dark Souls Remastered, but for 100% achievement.
The good news is that I am in NG 2+, which means I have most of the achievements done.
I absolutely adored Jusant. I didn't really care about the world that much and speed-read the notes, that wasn't the point of the game, it was about the climbing and how great that felt.Finished Jusant over the weekend.
Game has a great atmosphere, an interesting world and fun mechanics, however, we as the player only get to the world as all interesting things have already happened and we just read about things through letters than can be found around the place; you're just walking and climbing through desolate settlements.
You encounter a story of a character climbing up the massive tower they live on to search for a way to return the rain and seas, honestly, I would have rather played that person's adventure.
I get that it's easier for an indie game to just have you walking through an empty world and having you read about things and use your imagination to fill in the gaps, but dang did I want to spend more time in this world when it was still alive.

Paladin. STR/FTH split, w/ mace and miracles. I actually completed the build a long time ago, and now leveling up attributes for questlines and meeting min requirements for some gearsFinished Jusant over the weekend.
