Congratlations!
How did you handle all the world status stuff? I ended up joining some Discord where people would arrange to slaughter each other to set up their game worlds so they could collect trophies.
Good times.
IIRC in the original offline mode made it easier to deal with those.

Thanks.

I handled the World Tendency stuff by either committing suicide in the Nexus in Human Form or going to a specific world and committing suicide there; luckily no online help needed for that. I followed a guide which was basically a step-by-step description of where to go, what to pick up, who to kill and where and when to commit suicide in order to get the Platinum Trophy in two playthroughs.

I like Souls games, I have basically all of their trophies at this point, but I don't really enjoy New Game+ cycles in them because more often than not I turn into a glass cannon that can dish out good damage, but will get rag dolled by two hits of an enemy.

However, I did join a Discord channel to find people that could summon me to fight a boss together. It really sucks how the game's design basically has all players playing in Soul form with hardly anyone summoning others.

I doubt I'll replay the game much, because some of the boss runs in this game are a bit too much.

Shinobi Art of Vengeance Demo (PS5/PS4, Switch 1&2, Series X, PC) - This game is freaking awesome. It is the best Shinobi game since Shinobi III/Super Shinobi II. I am still going through the demo, but the combat has been completely revamped to be more melee focused compared to Shinobi III and all of the 2d platformers from the old days. Art work and music are beautiful.

I wandered and wandered in this mandatory space, not noticing the small circle over the breakable wall. Finally I found that I could go through by opening the map. This is not real game design. Devs mostly don't even know what that is anymore.

The wall doesn't even stand out in all the photorealism. There is debris all over the floor, so why should the wall stand out? They could have concentrated the debris more in front of the wall, at least.

You can't tell me where all that debris came from. The other walls look fine.

I have spotted RoboCop's torso and limbs clipping through each other in some cutscenes. How do you screw that up in a game in which the character is not made of muscle and flesh and not covered in clothes?

By having quite a limited budget and therefore very limited QA testing?

Also, just to point out something now that I've played more of Rogue City. Two of your earlier complaints were about the stupid suicide bombing enemies, and then the lack of enemy varieties. Specifically " When will I stop shooting at punks who look like parodies of late '80s culture?"

The answer to that is "About half an hour after you first encounter the suicide bombers, when they introduce you to an entirely different gang consisting of Hell's Angel style bikers." I probably won't engage with your critiques much beyond this post, because I don't feel like getting into that kind of thing, but it really is seeming like you go into these games looking for things to complain about, and if you don't find enough, you'll exaggerate or flat-out lie to make the game look worse when you say stuff that easy to counter.

As an occasional forklift operator, this is egregious. Did they not think about what a forklift is actually supposed to do? I couldn't do squat with those short, thin forks. A pallet? Nope.

I wish video game spaces were more economical, from the perspective of people living in the virtual world. Just a few benches, yet the space is huge.

It's all he he ever does. See his pathetic and nonsensical rants on Devil May Cry 5.

I will be getting Art of Veangance. The demo is great and available on every platform. Play this game people!

I don't even need to do that. His next post after I said that...I couldn't have asked for a better example of nitpicking.

There is an arcade mode that unlocks after beating the first stage in AoV! Everytime you beat a stage, the arcade version unlocks. Since is still the demo, you can only do the one. This will extend the replay value when the full game releases! That's how you an arcade mode COD4: Modern Warfare!

I don't know how I should map the new Shinobi to my 8BitDo M30.

Gave up for now on trying to map it to a Mega Drive-style controller.

Opening cutscene was way too long. Had to skip it. Don't care for the character designs.

It's like her midriff is flattening through another dimension.

From this angle, her midriff is teeny, and she has no hips because of it.

Get a PS4 Hori Fighting Commander. It pretty much has the six button genesis pad lay out. It can be used on PC, GOG, and Steam. I use it sometimes when I'm playing SOR4. It shouldn't cost you no more than $40. They are harder to find right now, but if any place is charging you more than the actual amount, you're getting ripped off. Though otherwise, everything else is a you problem on the controls. They work fine.

The opening cutscene ain't even that long. 3 to 4 minutes ain't gonna kill ya. At least you get the option to skip it. All you do is cry and moan over nothing. If there was no dialogue, you would have complained about it. Be happy you get arcade mode, after beating each stage. So that's a problem solved.

As for character designs, Tomoe's is the only one I question but i'm not going to dwell on it. Her character model is actually fine though, it's really just the speaking dialogue art.

My M30 already has six face buttons and two bumpers. Doesn't answer my question. I barely played the old Shinobi games and don't wanna spend too much time right now looking for a manual photo of the old controls and figuring out what is new.

I don't know how you jumped to this:

Wait, I do know. Because it's you.
