I can't even play 360 games on my XBOX ONE X anymore. I found this out today, but this has been an on-going issue last year. Any game that was compatible with ONE is not working anymore. Even if you're already have the game installed in the app. Making this thing near worthless. What's even worse, is MS as not updated their pages saying these games work on ONE. None of them do now. Why they haven't done this yet is beyond me, and they better say something fast. Though I doubt it, and they fired the persons who could fix these big errors. So I either have to shell out cash for a used 360 Slim, or buy a Series X. Neither card is on the table right now. I know some places, but it's really not worth wasting my time, nor the stress.

I haven't had a working shower in over a week.

The shower cartridge in my shower broke (the part that regulates the pressure and flow between the hot and cold water to the shower). It's under warranty, so I contacted the company, and they never responded to my email. I ended up buying the part on Amazon, and it took a week to arrive, and I got it today.

I tried to install it myself, it should have been a pretty easy install, but I can't get the handle removed. There's a grub screw that holds it in place and once that screw it removed it's supposed to slide off with almost no force. I removed it, and using a good deal of strength can't get it off. I'm worried that yanking it too hard could cause damage that I'm not prepared to fix. The part probably rusted on, or has too much calcium build up or something.

Anyway, I decided to just call a plumber, and if anything breaks during the install he'll be equipped to fix it. He won't arrive until Monday though. So unfortunately I still won't have a working shower for 2 more days, and I'll end up having to shell out for the plumber when it should have been an easy job I could do myself.

Anyway, fuck Esnbia, don't buy their tub and shower faucet set.

Screw whoever at the Escapist's parent company decided to add in "Recommended Videos" on every page and added a bar at the top of the screen, making the Notifications button inoperable on mobile.

Annoying that one needs to run their own CSS styles on pages again because people who curate the pages don't bloody care if they break functionality, as long as they can shove ads down people's throats.

For those wondering, here's a simple TamperMonkey script that should get rid of the above mentioned annoyances.

I would like to return the energy, but googling what to wear to an EDM concert as a man doesn't really bring up any useful results, it's almost all advice about what to wear to outdoor festivals (something light and comfortable so you don't overheat) whereas this is an indoor concert venue, so that doesn't really help or apply.

But seriously, as a guy you can rock pretty much whatever you want. I've seen blokes roll up in a Spongebob shirt and crocs, and that's on the lowest end of weird.. Tho you can't go wrong with just a tanktop and gym shorts. Comfy and easy to move around in, since you presumably will be dancing, and all those bodies in a confined space means things will heat up.

Hmm, never heard of them, but a quick YouTube search and a couple cursory listens, and they sound very late '90s early 2000s. Yeah, you might see some glowsticks... Still, no need to "dress the part;" wear whatever makes you comfortable; those who're deep into that scene are more worried about their uniqueness than other's conformity.

Yup, very few glowsticks. My girlfriend was one of the few people actually dressed up with lights (it was great, made it way easier to find her in the crowd). Also not a whole lot of dancing. I mean, there was dancing, we danced for probably 4 hours, but it wasn't "dancing." The venue was pretty small, and it was a sold out show, so it was packed, so most of the "dancing" was swaying to the music with little feet and hand movements and bouncing in place. There wasn't enough room to do any actual dancing. Was still pretty fun though.

My left hip’s been bothering me for over a year now. Doc/PA initially downplayed it and gave the Advil/stretching/exercises regimen. Problem persisted even coupled with my own weight lifting at home. Finally got X-rays earlier this summer which prompted an MRI that I just got results from.

Basically it sounds prettaaay, prettaaay, prettaaay, prettaaay, prettaaay, prettaaay fucked.

Spoiler: Summary:

1. There is abnormal subchondral bone marrow edema within the superior aspect of the left femoral head which is compatible with an underlying insufficiency fracture in the setting of severe left hip joint osteoarthritis.

2. There is severe left hip joint osteoarthritis with associated subtle osseous remodeling along the superior aspect of the left femoral head and adjacent acetabulum.

3. There is moderate right hip joint osteoarthritis.

4. There is a large left hip joint effusion with synovitis. There is also a small right hip joint effusion.

5. There is tendinopathy involving the hamstring tendon origins bilaterally. There is a diffuse partial-thickness tear involving the origin of the right hamstring tendons as well as a small focal partial-thickness tear involving the origin of the left hamstring tendons.

6. There is tendinopathy involving the abductor tendon insertions bilaterally without evidence of an associated tear.

7. There is moderate right and mild left greater trochanteric bursitis.

8. There is degeneration and tearing of the anterior superior aspect of the left acetabular labrum with an associated 0.7 cm paralabral cyst arising off the anterior aspect of the acetabulum.

9. There also appears to be a lobulated T2 hyperintense cyst along the superior lateral margin of the right acetabulum measuring approximately 1.5 cm which may represent a ganglion cyst versus a paralabral cyst in the setting of a labral tear.

My pain intuition says those last two might be the standout issues. We’ll see what the treatment options are, but guessing some PT just ain’t gonna cut it.

The big storms of this week turned out not to be so big where I live, though heavy rain today. Fortunately, didn't flood my balcony and thus through the balcony door, which has happened.

Unfortunately, seems to have flooded the neighbouring apartment's balcony, their apartment, and through the adjoining wall into my carpet, which has happened before as well. I got perma banned from space battles during the late spring of 2025. The moderators didn't even tell me why I got permanent after already on my temporary ban. If you're not gonna tell me why I was even perma banned, then you're obviously not worth going to talk on your forum. Most of the users there are cool, but the moderators are always changing. The site rules are never consistent with their punishments, keep changing it, and don't say anything. You gotta keep checking the rule book, but i'm not gonna check that every single day when you change things on a petty whim. I found someplace much better anyway. They have similar strict rules, but they are much more consistent, and they're not constantly changing the rules 24/7. I do keep their rules bookmarked, just in case though.
