Completed Darksiders 1.

A decent time, though it is just way, way too long.

The game would have been much stronger if it dropped one act (preferably the fucking Black Throne), and a lot of the obvious padding (like right at the end, where you suddenly have to revisit every single zone to collect a piece of a macguffin).

Bad pacing continues to be my kryptonite.

I'm still looking forward to the sequel though. Darksiders 2 looks like it has quite a lot more to it.

Darksiders 2 initial impressions are positive.

I love the more fantastical setting - it really allows the art direction to shine.

The music is so far much more present in the soundscape, though it does definitely sound like a lot of Jesper Kyd's other work - namely Borderlands 2's Tiny Tina DLC.

The combat is much more zippy, and im interested to see if the addition of a loot pool and skill tree actually spices combat up in any interesting ways.

Looking forward to playing more. Hopefully cutscenes aren't completely borked this time, on the Steam Deck, so i'll give that a shot.

Wolfenstein (2009) - Not a bad game, and fun so far. I still don't like regenerating health, but at least you get a power later on with the amulet that gives you a shield. I only have two the of power ups unlocked so far, and currently on the Church mission. The hub level idea is interesting though a bit flawed. Still better than how it was done in Youngbloods. Despite the use of regenerating health, this game still feels like a true Wolfenstein game. At least Raven made sure the player has a weapon wheel, and their weapons can be upgraded, should they have the cash for it.

Any thoughts on this game @Worgen or details I should know about?

I played Anarchy Reigns and still have my old save file. The combat holds up good, but campaign is obviously the weakest part of the game, despite their being fun moments. I hate having to complete both campaigns to get the true ending. The exact reason why I backed up my save file. So I will never have to do the whole thing all over again and do level select to improve rankings. I admit the survival modes and being able to multiplayer with bots keeps the replay value, even though you can't go online anymore. At least Platinum thought to future proof most of this stuff, but good luck getting Bayonetta as a DLC again. The same for Mad Survival.

Not really. Its one of those that I didn't get when it came out and by the time I was interested in it, it had been removed from steam so my experience with it was limited to playing a demo on my 360 and watching Civvie 11. I have thoughts on the new games, but 2009 will remain unplayed unless it shows up again, which I kinda doubt it will.

I did see his review video. Partially why I decided to get it, and the fact I never really played the game. Outside of seeing a friend in college.
Its also what made me want to try it but its well past gone from online stores on pc.

Totally unimpressed by Jedi Knight II -- Jedi Outcast. Never got into the series. Second time attempting. Think people critically go easier on Star Wars games because they're licensed. Reliance on music you already heard in the movies is so lame too.

Wow, Return to Castle Wolfenstein sucks.

That's Dutch.
Aside from that the game doesn't suck. It's just you. I admit the stealth is not that good, and the difficulty can be absurdly hard, even on norall mode at times, but gameplay wise still pretty solid. Not my favorite other franchise, but still a good game.
