Anyways, circling back to the Game Pass thing, I really like how they're advertising Silksong as one of the games included with Ultimate. So 30 bucks to rent it for a month vs 20 to just buy and keep it. And thats assuming a month is even enough if you're a working adult, perhaps with kids, cuz Skong be beefy.

Good to see Microsoft cranking up the prices now, rather than after having starved out the competition.
Everyone knew it was coming, but everyone was just lying to themselves about it, including Microsoft. Hopefully subscription services slowly die out and we transition back to owning games, it's the only way forward for a healthy industry.

I say "apparently" because I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to just take the page offline and direct their service reps to make unsubscribing as difficult as possible just to stem the bleeding.

I can only see good things coming from the new ownership based on other saudi owned companies. SNK is my main point of focus. Outside of arguably adding some random middle eastern inspired char here and there, nothing was really ruined or censored and all the cool or provocative content is still in SNK games, the new Fatal Fury is the best fighting game to come out this year by a huge margin.
It's strange that saudi ownership would better represent the average gamer than weird "current era" devs from California seem to in a lot of cases, but with EA in particular I don't think they could do any worse. At least now there's a chance at improvement. Going back to the aesthetic and cultural movement that gave us games like DA:Origins is still possible, so I'm a glass half-full guy here.
