They also should feel lucky that there are "somewhat first-party" games being released for their consoles, or their IPs getting revived; Way better than having almsot nothing at all during the XB1 era

This one in particular, is supposed to play more like a Zelda game. I honestly don't mind these type of games. I'm not into them, but hey, if they're making people happy. Then, all the more power to them. I get what you mean, as so many's of these games lose their uniqueness when there are a ton of them, but they're still not that many of them.

2. Later-release on other platforms always came as more polished version compared to PS launch; I'd rather not experience technical issues
3. I can wait 6 months - 1 year; It really isn't that long of a time
4. I don't want to assume, but this sounds like Sony trying to maximize sales

Exclusivity works for stand alone games and I think if they had managed to make FF7 only be a single game it would have been fine. But the project scope got too large and they couldn't support it entirely off one system.

Remake on Switch sold out everywhere and that is great on one hand. But on the other hand how much more money would they be making off the game if they didn't have to sell it at a discount in the first place? Imagine all these sales being full price? I think that's the money they don't want to leave on the table for the final part. Let it come out everywhere at once and the FF7project can end with a bang.

On one hand, I do want to play it asap, but on the other, I do like the pc getting a more polished version of it, usually with extra content and a lower price.
