In an email to staff, Sharma admitted Microsoft’s gaming strategy had failed, and a key part of that failure had to do with Game Pass.

We entered Gen 9 with a smaller install base and a higher cost structure. To grow, we bet on Game Pass, multi-platform, and a broader portfolio of content. As that happened, our core business weakened, and we added more teams, more investment, and more time, hoping for a better outcome. And now the industry is facing the most severe hardware crisis in its history. We must reset Xbox.”

....I was about to say something sarcastic and mean, but then I realized Sharma probably had nothing to do with most of the business decision regarding game pass until recently.

So it goes. If the new guy doesn't clean up all the messes that the old guy made on their first day in office, they're not just as bad, they're worse than the old guy who made them in the first place.

TL;DR
FO3 and FONV are both getting remasters

Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 are both being developed on….. ugh, Creation Engine 3.

Maybe I need to see the actual game before I can say anything, but with how the first two iterations of CE has proven to be buggy, unstable, and limited in capability compared to the likes of UE5 or even unity, I do not have high hopes on anything developed on CE3

The cube is basically replacing head for that kinda thing, and it will have greater gameplay significance most likely. Though yes, head was more entertaining and less annoying than this seems like it’ll be.

My main concern is they’re going to sanitize GoW even further to where it, like you said, feels more like something Marvel would put out.

There's really not much "Marvel" about it. Even in tone. I'm not going to worry over nothing, and I'll wait to play the actual game to judge for myself. Don't let the grifter talk get to you or get in your head.

There's nothing that looks safe or boring about it either. Though it's ironic considering when a Ascension came out, people were saying the same thing about that game. Even though there were a few change ups in gameplay. The tone was mostly the same, except Kratos wasn't acting like a complete dick. I don't need every game to be super serious nor crazy over the top constantly either. With that said, I'm judging for myself as always, and not let any of these fools who go overboard, or exaggerate the problem, get in my way.
