I think the counterpoint you're replying to was a response to a post about women wanting to be powerful and have role models to look up to in anime and what have you though.

Also, lets stop and analyze how entitled it is to want to have such a thing in a male-oriented rom-com. It'd be like guys complaining about the male characters in romance novels and wanting them to be more like someone they'd want to identify with and not just someone to fulfill the female readership's fantasies.

Nobody complains about those guys being how they are, some reciprocity would be appreciated lol.

Trying to make it be about those things in order to score points in some sort of crusade against fans of anime or what have you is just to fundamentally miss the point.

Violent games are already catagorized as violent games. Porn is categorized as porn. Child porn is categorized as child porn. Rape porn is rape porn. " skirting the edges promoting these things should put them in the category with it because it is promoting it as well. Being Anime does not make it not sexual assault. There is no " non anime rules setting for sexual assault" it is sexual assault if it were being done in any other cartoon, anime doesn't get a pass either.

Not even all people grow much if any bodyhair at all. They pretty much have a saying about Native Americans, you either are very hairy, or you grow no hair at all... I have like NO hair that grows below my eyebrows. That does not have anything to do with being an adult..Shaving has nothing to do with child like attributes. Plenty of men and women shave and removing some hair doesn't change that. Besides, you can shave for exfoliation and not even have hair! That isn't logical at all.

Looks like the copyright holder took down the ones with the subs, so only they and crunchyroll have clips of the show. Anyway, she and most of the girls in the cast range from 16-19 in the course of 4 seasons.

The "Galbrush Paradox" isn't only about Monkey Island. It just uses it as an example, demonstrating how the western world has no problem making fun of men, but women can hardly be made fun of in the same way.

Another example is the "promotes violence against women" arguments that certain hypocrites make. You can kill a stripper in GTA. "VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN OH NO!"
You can also kill any random guy. Does that "promote violence against men?" The hypocrites don't care, they only care about women being seen and portrayed positively. This is exactly what lil said, "women like to be seen as strong and intelligent".

Also why Nadine from Uncharted can beat two grown men, both of whom outweigh her, in hand-to-hand combat.
This is why it's okay to have, say, Black Widow beat up a bunch of men, but you can't have Hawkeye going around beating women unconscious.
Nobody is up in arms about the Futurama bit where Amazonian women rape men to death, but what if Leela and Amy were captured and raped by a bunch of huge men?

As far as I remember the GTA thing was specifically about strippers. Like, as in, the violence against stripper is a stereotype that encourages more violence against strippers. They didn't react to random women getting hit. But I don't like GTA so I couldn't care less about this. GTA can die and go back to 2D

Lastly, Feminist don't just ask for women to be strong and intelligent. Yep, henchmen are normally men. Thankfully, that's changing. It's got more to do with people thinking that women are weak and couldn't compete with Hawkeye so they would never put the women into that situation. Feminist have been asking for this for a long time, including IRL stuff like demanding women being allowed on front line combat roles

Yep, the Amazonian thing is pretty terrible. It's a relic from our past that shows how stupid we were. Most people thought that women couldn't rape men back then. Hopefully, we know better now. Feminist were the ones point out that women could rape, so you can thank them for this too.
