I really didn't think demons souls would be a launch title. I just want to know about the balancing issues and if they streamlined some things that needed to be fixed. Are they going to make the dragon god actually decent?
Nioh is much faster, elaborate and technical than Demon's Souls though. Nioh is probably the worst entry point to games like this. Demon's Souls is much more accessible and Bluepoint probably streamlined it's more archaic elements.
I watched the trailer again and you can also see the sword going in during a backstab with enemies behaving more realistically. It's like a thousand and one little improvements that all add up.
PS5 event was around midnight where I live and pre-orders went up next business day so could fortunately pre-order one in the early morning. Few hours later pre-orders were already sold out. xD

To be honest, I'm expecting a ton of people who have been playing the Dark Souls games, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Nioh to complain that Demon's Souls is piss-easy. "Prepare to Die" is like a meme FromSoftware kept trying to live up to.
Vaati Vidya commented on the enemies in the trailer and I hope he’s right. It would be best if they tweak certain enemies to be more aggressive, have higher armor, etc. so it’s still appropriately difficult, while also factoring in that it’ll play a lot smoother at 60fps. Also really hoping the directional rolling from later games will be implemented here.
The background music was overused though. They should’ve highlighted more of the differences in the game sounds.
