To be perfectly honest, i don't believe Trump's faking it - convincing his doctors to lie is quite a leap from him constantly lying about something. Plus, the man loves rallies, so i'm not sure if this would be the sort of political calculation he'd be down for.
Would be really funny if someone actually called it, tho.

I think you're forgetting we're dealing with a cult.

Imagine. Their stricken chosen Orange, downed by the plague of our time... healed by the miracle drug he touted for such a long time as the ultimate cure-all. Imagine the stride he'll walk on the stage with. The deafening applause. HE would barely be able to bring them down so he can talk.

The Rallies he would get after this will be packed with his faithful just needing to see him like he was their Pope. I understand he's not one for delayed satisfaction, but with that level of pop, I think he would be able to manage for a bit.

Not to mention I'm sure his twitter is full of heart felt messages and even Democrats wishing him well.

Again, I don't believe a word he says and that's because his own actions. But I went to sleep and woke up hoping he didn't die. I will continue to do so

Trump isn't faking it. The one thing he hates more than anything else is looking weak and fallible, and catching the pandemic fits right in there for him. It simply isn't within his personality to look to pity votes over adulation of his usual strongman routine.

• Remdesivir is an antiviral with good prospects for covid-19.
• Famotidine is a histamine H2 antagonist (usually for gastric acid) because it's theorised to bind to a viral replication protein. A long shot, but it's cheap and has a good safety profile, so why not?
• Melatonin is most commonly associated with sleep, but is also an immunomodulator. Like famotidine, a long shot with good safety profile.
• Asprin I have no idea, unless it's just as an antiplatelet drug to reduce risk of thromboembolism.
• Vit D and zinc also to potentially boost the immune system in case of deficiency.

I was more a.) stating that even though Trump loves Rallies and he would have to forgo them for treatment, the rally he would get after emerging from his Covid would be momentual. and B.) the "miracle drug" was just short hand for the vaccine he's been promising since... March? Again, it was apart of the speculation and I wasn't being literal

If it were fake, he would have tested positive and then a few days later say he wasn't sick and tested negative to throw more doubt on the official numbers. But it's a bit late for that to be the case now.

They still need him. Don't expect them to tell the truth until Trump gets visibly better and leaves the hospital or until he dies.

Its been less than 2 days since he even tested positive. If he really did have it and this wasn't staged to make him look healthy and strong by beating Covid so easily, he hasn't even started on the serious symptoms yet. You don't recover from Covid after only a handful of days.
I'm speaking from experience here, I had Covid all of February and March and it kicked my ass. My nasty cough and breathing problems didn't even start until day 5 or 6

The guy has access to constant testing, state of the art equipment, an experimental vaccine ,and a 24 hour staff that will do whatever he wants.
