Started playing Hellgate London the other day, after rewatching the trailer and remembering how much I loved the premise of it. And.....
wow, this game is janky, low res, early '00s stuff if I've ever seen it. It honestly feels like an asset flip on steam, given how low rendered all the environments are. It's a really cheep Diablo clone, given the way the powers work, it's just an OTS instead of topdown isometric. I mean, I still find it somewhat fun to play, as I get to play a technopaladin, running around near-future, post apocalypse london, bringing holy smites to demons walking the earth but...man, is it some low quality graphics. We'll see if I keep dabbling with it over the next week or so.
