Funny how nobody bitched about Microsoft putting exclusives on their shitty window's store. Even though that store is worse than Epic's.

I recall doing an adequate amount of bitching about Microsoft's store, for exactly the reason you mentioned.

I assume the only reason why the Xbox store is tolerated these days, is simply because of how good of a deal gamepass is.

I think i will try the Kingdom hearts series. I hope it is not too dated.

A bit, combat is very simplistic even on higher difficulty. But the games are charming and, at least for the first one, the story and character are fun in a very PG way. Plus lots of disney/final fantasy fan service if you like those.

Frankly a store front need to entice people to shop there. Every store does it, either with deals, or with exclusive products. End of story.

Epic's so desperate to entice me to spend money that it's looped back round to helping me spend very little money on games; it's basically a glorified free games pipeline that tides me over between Steam sales.

Happily, they have relaxed on that now, and MS titles coming to Steam, but as someone who is much more invested (for some reason, god help me) in Xbox exclusive games, being required to buy games through the shitty Xbox store was much more frustrating that needing to buy a game on the Epic store, which is at the very least, functional.

I guess it depends on what games you actually want to play.

I'd still rather everything was on Steam, though.

Hey that's just fine, because at the end of the day you have a bunch of free games and Epic has a user in its ecosystem. Eventually your library will be big enough that you might buy games directly from Epic when they come out. Which is the point, I think.

There is nothing wrong with having a preferred store. I like going to Walmart over Target, that doesn't mean i think Target is the devil.

Same goes for the Epic V Steam tale. They can both exist and you can use what you want, and if your platform doesn't get a game then you either have to wait or just buy it from Epic. Walmart doesn't get mad at you because you bought a TV from Best Buy.

Where is the ire towards GoG or Humblebundle or Greenmangaming?

I 'member completing this. I think. But having absolutely no idea what the drek they would not stop waffling about. It felt like the strains of a writer with absolutely no substance trying to justify some dumbass crossovers for kids, mistaking complexity for depth at every opportunity. Smash Bros Brawl Subspace emissary cutscenes kept everything to visual craziness, which would've been better. Luckily the gameplay, ship building and cross-overs are fun at least. Basically, you're not missing that much? I think? My opinions cannot be trusted however. They frequently entwine with cannibalism and various other deviancies. So...
