You're doing something majorly wrong if a gaming rig would cost you 3000. These days you shouldn't spend more than 1500. Anything more and you're just chasing benchmarks.

As far as games are concerned. A dual core isn't going to cut it. 955 Black's are down to $110 now. Also like other people have said 400W is alittle low. I'd prefer to see a 600W with a decent name behind it.

Minecraft runs on Java. Basically everything can run it. However if you're planning on running alot of games it would be worth your time looking towards a gaming desktop. Also, hard drive space doesn't matter.

You're not getting additional performance. Cards need to be in the same series to put them in crossfire. ie, 5870+5850 All you're getting right now is additional outputs on your monitor. When you run a game your system will decide which card to use (hopefully the 5750)...
