So long as you have a legal copy of the game and console that you're emulating, sure. Why shouldn't it be? You already have the right to play the game so I don't see how anything can really stop you. On the other hand, if you don't own the game, then the emulation is ok but you're pirating...

I've managed to buff my Oblivion and Skyrim directories to 22 and 23GB, respectively. Thats about three times the vanilla size for Oblivion and double for Skyrim. Oh, and I've got 30.2GB of compressed mods. Still barely makes a dent in a 2TB HDD, mind.

Yeah, I greatly enjoyed it. It had good stealth and more than functional action if you borked the sneaking up. It looks pretty damn good, even if the texture quality suffers a bit here and there, sounds great and for the most part, feels great. All that said, its piss easy most of the time...
