    Mine was using the Cain in Mass Effect 2. I fired it while fighting some geth. Next thing I know the geth have appeared to have evaporated and I know I have a weapon forged in God's mighty flame.

    I feel it's a mix of spritual rewards, morals instilled by relatives and the fact that in films, games and other media that the good guy almost always won.
