Oh god yes I have. I'm picky about controls. And if they're not properly responsive and logical, it gets old very fast. It's the main reason I stay away from motion controls. Though I will deal with bad controls if the storytelling or gameplay is extremely good.

Sometimes, though really not often. I find the customization takes way too much time and no one is likely to even see it anyway. I usually stick with the default (or something close to it) and maybe change hair color/style.
