    Pirates accidentally preserving gaming history?

There's TONS of games that cannot be re-released because the rights to the title are stuck in legal limbo. Or titles where the rights holder has no intention of using the IP but refuses to allow new copies pressed.

Games you can't remember, but still miss - describe them.

Sounds like State of Emergency to me. http://www.rockstargames.com/stateofemergency/

Poll: Star Wars The Old Republic -Warcraft contender or just another clone

It depends. WoW got popular because they took the (at the time) basic MMO formulas and evolved them, taking things to the next level. Blizzard should have pulled out all the stops for Cataclysm, knowing this thing is on the horizon. But they didn't, they went back to "basics" and crammed in...

Worst port/ edition of good games

There's absolutely no discussion for me on this: Knights of the Old Republic. Incredibly good game, incredibly terrible port. It's filled with enough crippling bugs that make it just a hairs breadth away from "Unplayable", but after you spend about 4 days solid of google-fu...Amazing game.

Ok, youve finally convinced me......Im going to play Oblivion....tell me something though...

If you intend to play both, go with Morrowind first, then Oblivion. I only played bits of Morrowind when it was new and I liked it, so after playing Oblivion I tried to go back and see what I missed...And I absolutely hated it. Oblivion's combat system WILL spoil you to the point you'll give up...

    **** you blizzard!

The tough part is getting the issue through the first useless tiers of support. Once the right department gets ahold of your case, and once you send in your proof of identity your account is generally restored in a day or two.

Good game with the WORST sequel

Huh, I didn't think it was bad at all, except for the hilariously wonky ragdoll physics. Bad sequels though...Deus Ex 2, Bioshock 2, to a degree (even though overall I enjoyed the game) Mass Effect 2. All of these I disliked for the same reasons, dumbing everything down for the console tards.

    **** you blizzard!

Log onto the WoW site, there's a way to submit a hacked account ticket. It's not difficult, and you'll end up faxing or emailing them proof of identity but they will restore it. Then get an authenticator or use a non-dumb password and don't download junkware. Next time consider your options...

"This is so not worth it..."

I didn't play Knights of the Old Republic for years because of this. I bought it soon after it came out after a friend told me how amazing it was, I couldn't make it 5 minutes in before it would crash on my system. Every single time, over and over. I ended up taking it back to the store and not...

    Best game opening

Recently, the only game that's blown me away with the opening (Pre-title card I consider the opening) would be Mass Effect 2. It was incredibly well done, it seems a great opening is something most games don't bother with lately. For opening cinematics...Hard to beat Blizzard, they always did...

    Our one "nostalgia trip" game

Papyrus' Indianapolis 500 for DOS. Back when I was around 10 or 11 our family didn't have a computer yet, but my uncle did. So every time we went over to their house I would play this game on their 286.

    MMOs are so annoying

Strong disagree. Unless you count "Guys in armor and swords beat on monsters" as ripping off EQ. I would consider it more "Taking it to the next level" as opposed to "Ripping off". I keep posting this on these forums whenever someone brings up the particular topic of why nothing can beat...

Oldest game you still have the box for?

Megafortress, 1991. I don't even know why it's still laying around, it's been stashed in a corner of my closet for ages. Almost certain the floppies are wiped by now though.
