It was written to sound like Moonlight Sonata, the producers wanted something with a familiar sound. In fact that track is called "Battlestar Sonatica" ;)

I was going to say something by Bear McCreary, completely forgot about that track though, I was thinking more along the lines of this one ...

I'm glad to see Farscape getting some recognition, that one ended way before it's time. Though The Peacekeeper Wars was a good send off for the series. I was really upset about Stargate Universe's cancellation, I was really enjoying that series. Personally I couldn't stand Stargate...
