for me it would be Hogan's hero's. I know alot of people don't like it because of controversy, but I think it was an awsome show that ended much erlier than it should have.

I'm glad to see Farscape getting some recognition, that one ended way before it's time. Though The Peacekeeper Wars was a good send off for the series.

I was really upset about Stargate Universe's cancellation, I was really enjoying that series. Personally I couldn't stand Stargate Atlantis, I thought it was a poor photocopy of SG-1 but with worse characters. SGU was something new to the franchise which it was it desperately needed. Sadly for them MGM's financial issues and SyFy's idiotic scheduling killed that show.

Caprica was another one I was thoroughly enjoying, it was a bit slow to start with, but the last 10 episodes after the break were fantastic. Also, the music was really really good.

Others I was sad to see include, FlashForward, Wonderfalls and Threshold.

Scrubs. Or they cancelled it before the last season... It's not Scrubs without JD and all of those characters.

Another vote for Firefly

Also:

The Tick (cartoon)
3rd Rock From the Sun

Let me just quote a show that was cancelled twice:

"We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80s Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, FreakyLinks, Wanda At Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Louie, and Greg the Bunny."

Firefly, obviously, but other than that I would say The Cape. Mostly because it was about a superhero acting like a super hero. Oh and it had Keith David and Summer Glau in it, can't go wrong there.

Also has anyone else noticed that Summer Glau is like a kiss of death to a show?

I never liked her character or her acting. Every other character was great except her's.

Wierd, I've seen people mention Black Books and Blackadder. Neither of which were cancelled, they were ended by the people who made them (Blackadder ended on arguably the best episode of all 4 series, Black Books would have probably stagnated if another series was made).

Firefly should have continued, there was so much potential there.

Futurama shouldn't have been cancelled, but bringing it back has ruined the entire character of Bender. I don't think that would have happened if it had flowed into a fifth series properly.

Father Ted, technically this was meant to end after 3 series even before the main actor died but all the best episodes were in series 3 and 4 would have probably kept near that high point.

Invader Zim as well, I like to think of the first 2 Destroy all humans! games as spiritual successors.

Edit: Just saw it in the family guy quote above.

Lone Gunman, as a spin off it was amazing and should have kept going, shame that a revival is made highly unlikely by events in the X-Files.

A lot of my shows actually make it past three seasons. I don't know if I'd really want Arrested Development to continue or not. The third season (especially the latter half) wasn't all that good. Or it was at least a massive drop-off from the stellar first two seasons.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

One of the best shows ever, senselessly murdered by death slot scheduling. I watched the whole thing 5 times in 2 years.
That's the one.
My God, you remember that Cromarty scene that had "When the Man Comes Around" playing over. One of the most awe-striking scenes I've ever witnessed in TV.

Another one: Better Off Ted. It reminds me of two shows that I loved: NewsRadio and Arrested Development (and it had Portia di Rossi of AD in it). It was very off-the-wall, but always hilarious. Obligatory Veridian Dynamics fake ad coming...

If you have a Netflix subscription, you should definitely do a marathon of both seasons of Better Off Ted. It's in the Watch Instantly library.

Dead Like Me, the movie was half-assed but the show was brilliant.
Reaper, it never had a chance in its time slot.

I agree with the few people who said better off Ted. Can't believe I'm the only one who misses Kyle XY. I mean I know the whole plot of him being a super person pretty much sounds a little stupid, but I still loved that show

Just looking at the title I figured almost every single person would have said was 'Firefly', which made me laugh. Less obviously I would say 'Arrested Development'. Screw the Fox Network and cancelling good shows, Family Guy has been cancelled at least once cause of them (I'm pretty sure two times).

Flash Forward, sure, it got shit by the end of the season but why end it with a cliffhanger, WHY?!

Firefly is the most obvious answer. It still had a lot of plot unexplored, with a great cast and great writing.

Dead Like Me is a show that I felt ended earlier than it should have. The final episode doesn't give quite the closure I would've wanted and the film that was put out was awful.

That's about it as TV shows go...
