You kind of just described me lol... I don't know, I never really found music moving. If the music means something to me (like it's from something I like) then I associate it with that thing, but beyond that it doesn't do much for me. Good white noise though.

The turrets in portal. Even in the first game I felt bad just touching them. They are the only game enemy to tell me that "I don't blame you" on their death-bed. It only got worse in the second game when I learned that they actually do feel pain :(

If you don't use steam, start. If you use steam, just check the sales every day. I see RTS games on sale all the time. My friend picked up Civ 5 for $12.50 in one of those sales.

The only games I'm thinking of getting on release over the next year are Mass Effect 3 (can't hide in the spoiler-proof bunker forever) and Gears 3, if my friends are playing the multiplayer. It's only worth it get it early if the timing means something. What's that? Gears 3 is out already...
