Good music that came from bad games.

WET's entire soundtrack is freaking awesome. Also, Anarchy Reigns isn't a "bad" game, persay, but it's soundtrack far outstrips it's gameplay.

    Bioshock Inf: 1999 Mode.

That's the entire point. It makes death into a very real threat that, if you keep dying unchecked, will severely hamper your ability to complete the game. It also forces you to make the difficult choice of using your money on upgrades, or saving it for revival. Hence "Hardcore" difficulty, and...

Poll: What happens to DmC/DMC next?

Why do people keep saying Limbo was destroyed? It isn't gone, its just been merged with the real world. If anything, I took that to mean that our world was going to become more like Limbo, similar to all the strange environments we see in the original series.

Everyones thoughts on the new "Metal gear" game

Just to add on to your sweet little guide: You don't HAVE to retrieve spines, but doing so in-combo contributes to your post battle bonus and ranking. You don't have to wait to use blade mode on enemies. Most of the basic footsoldiers can be cut to shreds without even using a basic...

    So...Warhammer 40k?

Poll: Fighting Game Fans: Tired of the Tier?

UMvC3 is actually very well balanced, given its heritage. About half the cast is considered tourney viable, and even a good chunk of the "bad" characters are still useable in the right teams or gimmicks. And this is only after a year! Remember back when everyone thought Morrigan was gonna be...

1 vs 2: X-Men Legends vs X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Not much of a contest in my mind; 2 is better in just about every way. I did like the way they did the story in 1 (focus on a unique mutant, making Magneto and the Brotherhood the bad guys) but 2 is just as strong in that regard and has better character diversity. Ultimate Alliance 1 is still my...

    Halo 4 Opinion

In campaign, sure, but Halo 2's multiplayer was superb. It more than balances out any shortcomings in the single player.

Recommend me an Offline Fighting game

Mortal Kombat 9, Persona 4 Arena, Blazblue: Continuum Shift, Dead or Alive 5, and Skullgirls all have a pretty hefty amount of single player content. However, in the long run, you just can't replace real life opponents in fighting games.

    Street Fighter IV being terrible

There is always Abel in SFIV! He's decently manly.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter 360 Beta

I'm actually liking it a lot now that I've know what the heck is going on. The killstreak system in particular is pretty cool. However, the menus are absolutely terrible.

Wicked Weapons That Are Not Used Enough In Media

Shaun of the Dead. I find hammers, warhammers, etc. don't really get very much love in popular media, most likely because they lack the "elegance" of a sword or the brutality/simplicity of an axe. The weapon a character uses can say a lot about them, but unless you are a Dwarf or Thor you...

How can gamers be made to fear ingame death?

If it's a competitive game, then the fear of death usually comes from a fairly steep penalty, whether it be a long respawn time, losing all your weapons, or even the game outright. For something like BF3 Conquest, you can't really have any of these as it goes against the rules of the game. Maybe...

How would you improve Dark Souls?

After putting around 200 hours into the game, the only things I can think of are: 1. A real tutorial. The Undead Asylum is fine and all, but it suffers from being both too easy and not actually teaching you anything. Newbies will get through it with only a little difficulty (probably at the...

Say something nice about EA if you can

EA has an eye for talent, and many of the companies they have acquired still put out quality games. They are also willing to take chances on new or obscure IPs (Kingdoms of Amalur, Dead Space, Syndicate reboot, etc.) that not many other publishers will do.
