Ha, I'm reading/have read most of the list. Guess I'm more maintstream than I guessed!
I'd nominate Freefall [http://freefall.purrsia.com/] to earn a place on it myself though.
This one's old. As in, pretty dang old. Thank god for that too, as the story moves GLACIALLY slowly. Not...
Well, in the original Gundam, Char first comes across as a fairly loyal subordinate who is resigned to serving Zeon as it was. It's only after the White Base descends to North America that Char realizes he could exploit the feddies to his gain, and starts his vendetta for good. I mean, he's...
#1 - Char Aznable is the TOP turncoat, no question! He had done such a glorious job of killing off the Zabis, muhahahah... revenge is a dish best served cold. And the best in all that is that he gives all of his victims the middle finger, yet no-one suspects him until the very last moment. A...
Err... that was a sequel, not a reboot.
It wasn't even a bad sequel, either. I mean, it had a few issues for sure (mostly the boss fights), but it almost lived up to the predecessor... which was a rather high bar.
I'd second adding Syndicate to the list.
If using the Force does not make one a sith/jedi, then the meaning of being jedi is rendered functionally empty. If all the functionally relevant skills and knowledges comes with the magical awakening of the force anyway, then being a jedi is nothing more than being the member of a political...
Yeah, I understand that... but it's just, it irks me. Whenever I see a TIE fighter or a Stormtrooper, I no longer have the foreboding sense of "oh goodness, the Empire's here, shit's gonna hit the fan". I'm more along the lines of "Oh the Empire's here, I wonder how these idiots are going to get...
How about the regular fire-mode of the Razor launcher (or whatever it was called)? That thing made missed shots a true danger... with that said, it also did some really awesome work in tight, twisting corridors. Those with straight walls, that is.
This movie taught me that experience and training simply do not matter.
First of all, why does anyone spend money on training pilots if a slave-girl who can barely take off with the Falcon can out-manoeuvre TWO professional fighter pilots? Seriously, just mass-manufacture TIE fighters with...
The portal gun. Seriously, make a few of those things and put them on satellites - and then you no longer need an army to speak of. Just open a portal at some dude you don't like, open another at the bottom of the mariana trench or on the Moon...
The fact any random civilian with force sensitivity can just "wake up" and ass-whoop Siths (even if in training) makes me wonder just why the Jedi Order was needed in the first place. Seriously, we've never seen Rey fight with swords before that duel - she was fighting with a staff earlier, and...
I really hope the game will be moddable. It would be a nice touch to be able to use regular vehicles instead of just mechs - they really under-appreciated, I think. I mean, I had lots of fun wiping mech-only armies with just vehicles in MegaMek. I understand that this is a niche need though, so...
I think civility is the key, for both sides.
I've started kickstarting when Larian did Original Sin. It was a really impressive story; they really delivered on almost every goal, and the fans weren't in riot over the missing feature (such as day and night cycle).
I find the prevalent...
