I'm 23.
I graduated last May from a great university with a degree in engineering. My grades were solid, I had a ton of research experience, and I was all lined up to either get a job at a government lab or work on my Master's. A month before graduation, the US government sequestration...
It's difficult for me to pick just one, but I'd have to say either Digital Devil Saga or Persona 3. While some people found the lack of ally control and exhaustion system in P3 to be annoying, I actually liked the feeling it gave the game. I love P4, but P3 just feels more like a struggle...
Killzone 2-3: Something is seriously wrong with a shooter where the ostensibly "human" enemies can take an entire magazine of assault rifle fire to the torso and not die (on the easiest difficulty to boot). Combined this with the pointless cover system, and the game was a complete slog. Ugly...
Holy shit, this is a major improvement. The echo is still pretty bad, but fixing that sort of thing is a lost cause.
Maybe The Escapist should hire you to handle audio next time...
Glad to hear it was a technical problem and not an intended choice by the convention support staff. Hopefully the other panels fared better than this one.
Thanks for the clarification.
I loved the panel videos from the first Expo, but this year they seem to have messed up every possible aspect. The handheld camera work is shaky, the sound appears to be on-board audio from a camera located on the other side of a room with terrible acoustics, and the live stream of this panel...
A friend and I have been playing through a few recent shooters co-op as a way to give him some more experience with the genre (He generally doesn't play FPS or TPS games at all). We both recently found Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for $7 and figured it couldn't be as bad as most...
Currently a student, but I'm one year away from a Materials Engineering degree. Given my specialization, I'll probably end up working for a government lab within DARPA or the Department of the Navy.
I can't hate the online pass system too much, especially since I don't play online multiplayer. I don't support the practice in the slightest, so all it means is that I get my used copy of the single player campaign even cheaper. Since they lack the online component, the used price drops like a...
Digital Devil Saga is actually a fairly interesting choice. While the classic Nocturne art-style holds up really well (even on an HD TV), the extra graphical fidelity would be awesome. If they kept the existing gameplay and used the extra processing power to add detail to the post-apocalyptic...
I was actually in the middle of researching that one when I decided to post this thread. So far it's looking pretty good, but I figured I'd get some more suggestions before I decided on anything.
