Games that you mentally declare non-canon.

Halo:Reach. To anyone that read the novels/comics, Reach's story was a travesty. The additional media created a detailed and intriguing set of interactions which the game proceeded to stomp all over. It'll be interesting to see if 343 Industries continues the trend or pays homage to the...

Poll: A threat to American Hegemony?

A little revolution, now and then, is a good thing. Not "Occupy." Not the paranoid, anti-government militias that crop up every now and again but (thankfully) never do anything. Something big. Major natural disaster, complete economic collapse, energy crisis, zombies. Something massive...

    SKYRIM WEAPONS WORTH KEEPING??

As with everybody on here, making your own is the way to go. I do always carry Dawnbreaker for Draughr encounters though. Such fun! Personally, I love my Ebony War Axe with Paralyze. Named it Sting ;-)

    Combat Puzzles

Oh no this was the only spot I felt was even close to being a puzzle in BF3. I did not like the campaign at all. And I love Frozen Synapse btw :D Very much my kinda game. While I wish this to be true and truly hope devs will keep at it, AI always seems to fall short in one way or...

    Combat Puzzles

I feel that the main problem with modern FPSs is that, frankly, they're boring. Boring enemies, boring combat, repetitive environments and bland color palettes. Cool guns sometimes, but not much imagination there either (yes Borderlands, I'm still looking at you). Sure, much of this comes from...

a strange idea i had about combine RTS and FPS

I had a similar idea, except the player can't jump into any soldier at any time. Instead when two units engage in combat, it changes to FPS mode and a sort of Battlefront style game emerges. That, or the player can only enter FP mode a given number of times, regulated by some kind of card system.

    Poll: Analog or Digital?

I've wondered this for a while. Personally, I read traditional clocks better. They give me a better sense of how fast time is passing I guess. Couldn't say why. Though I am really good at predicting the time... Probably unrelated but whatever.

Poll: Call of Duty requires Skill... or not?

Personally, I find CoD quite strategic. I have solid reflexes but some people are just crazy, plus you have to factor in the connection (or lack thereof). Thus I find myself getting far more kills by outflanking the enemy or doubling back or some other intentional, strategic move than by just...

Salt Lake City Gets Bombed in 2026

Nominated for best ad campaign ever. Seriously... that gave me goosebumps. They'd better give a good reason for bombing freaking Salt Lake though... Center of resistance perhaps?

Song Covers you prefer to the original

Reel Big Fish's version of Operation Ivy's "Unity" Some songs just work better with a horn section. And, you know, good vocals.
