Thou shalt ABSOLUTELY NOT use set-length loading screens regardless of actual loading time, making me wait 30 seconds to reload a fight when my machine actually loads it in 2. (Mass-Effect 2)
Thou shalt not carelessly program mouse control with stupid amounts of acceleration. (Bioshock, Dead...
Because the jokes aren't clever or creative or interesting and the writing is lazy and uninspired.
That's really all there is to it.
I dislike it in the same way I dislike McDonalds as a restaurant.
As much as I hate mouse acceleration in-game, it doesn't piss me off nearly as much as when the mouse is fucked in the menus, or when the menu sensitivity and game sensitivity are wildly different.
Bioshock 1 is just fucked in the mouse department.
The biggest problem with Metro 2033's money system was that most stuff wasn't worth buying. Apart from the special stealth/combat suits and filling up on gas mask filters ONCE, everything of value could be found for free not long after you first found it for sale.
I love how valuable the good...
How so? All you have to do is shoot him. Well, both of them, since there's the bossfight with Dmitriy, and then an identical one with Tom Goodman.
That said, not much reward for winning, since every cutscene in the game was as boring as a bread sandwich. Amazing contrast with all the great...
Bioshock:
Good writing, story, atmosphere, etc. Lots of colour and variety, even though they reused a shit-tonne of ideas from SS2.
Horribly unbalanced gameplay. Telekinesis + chemical thrower = win the game.
One of my favourite games.
Play it on Ranger Hardcore for the legit experience.
Don't buy guns, you get 'em for free anyway. Buy the stealth suit if you're going to sneak. Take the lower path on Frontline. The Helsing is the best weapon for the library. Amoebas die instantly if you hit...
I only started playing the game a week ago.
Being a medic or a pyro is incredibly easy, but after a little practice I prefer the Scout. So damn fun running around harassing everyone in a symmetrical game like King of the Hill or Double Payload. Also, hunting spies as a Scout is the most fun...
I've played both many times, and I've yet to wrap my head around how awful it is to fight aliens in AvP2, as an alien OR a marine. Only the alien campaigns are consistently fun. Marine is good in '99. At best half of Predator is worth playing in either.
