If it comes in a kit with Monster cables and a Denon Link Cable (http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/3429.asp) then it might be worth it.

At least until all the stuff in your living room floats away on a river of snake oil.

To steal a line from Yahtzee, the only way this would be worth it is if it had tits and was on fire.

You know, I bet that's awesome, but here is the truth about Blu-ray, even if it's a 135,000 dollar blu-ray player. IT'S NO DIFFERENT!!!

It has some props, but the quality is no different. It's basically a scam to get people to buy more. It's the same as High def, and high quality. To some 'Skilled eye' It probably looks different, but to normal people, it's the same.

But yeah...135,000 dollar player...Who in the world would buy that? It's a forth of a Roles Royce! (500,000 something...)

Will this work with my ipod?

Seriously though, the only person that could honestly say this is a useful object is Jerry Jones. To hook up to his ridiculous HDTV at Cowboys Stadium.

Also epic fail on the Acronym. For 135k you had better get something that when you say it. You sound cool. GERB is not.

As to why it doesnt have internet built in: why the fuck bother with all that fancy defuzzing would just be countered by the lan. maybe if it came with a special phone cable that was also grounded and magnetically dampened, but otherwise no

"and other retail Blu-ray players have the capability to connect to the internet, so why doesn't Goldmund's "ultimate" version of one?"

Ummm, it is Skynet...if it's profile 1.1 with full features and AI were allowed Intarweb access, it would be the Fall of Man.

awesome.

now give me a reason to believe that extra 'stabilisers' warrant an extra $134,800 more than a standard blu-ray player that still plays the exact same blu-ray disc at the exact same picture and audio quality, through the exact same HDMI connector.

seriously, if anybody buys these things, this company is going to LAUGH all the way to the bank.

picture a $135,000 water bottle, right? but instead of normal plastic, it is made out of 'premium protection-coated plastic' and has an 'external rigidifying structure' which prevents you from accidentally knocking over the water bottle.. oh, and the water bottle weighs 82 kilos, so that prevents you also from PICKING IT UP. and the lid is gold-plated and has several openings for straws which are sold separately.

this is the epitomy of commercial greed: a company capitalising on the 'i want one' impulse of the human mind.

may i say FUCK this?
