How about an application for armed services, because if you are in the "United States of 21 Is The Drinking Age Here, Lol", you can get killed in war, but are not allowed any beer.

Cant you just ask them to surprise you? I dont know, seems like giving away every little detail of a gift would kind of ruin some of the moment.

Well since youre 18 and im assuming going to school, ask for something practical like a laptop or anything that might help with your up and coming adventures.

i'm game with this idea, i'd love it if somebody surprised me, rather than just telling me, but got me something I completely wouldn't expect.

To OP, maybe ask them to take you on a trip somewhere you've always wanted to go, or even just somewhere that means something to you. Have a nice day with your family and make some memories. Maybe go to a strip club.

That may be an idea. I have an Ex-USAF engineer for a cousin so I'll see if I can get onto the base for my first 'legal' drink with my family or something.

I'd say go for it. If your family are drinkers like mine are, I think it's a good idea. For my 21st (legal drinking age in US) instead of going out and getting drunk with friends (like most people do on their 21st) I had a few beers and shots with my dad at home. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Nice i Did something similar for mine. But we went out to the local rugby club (of which we are members) and I brought Him drinks.
To pay back for all the drinks he got me when i was underage.
But it was a good 18th.
