Boy oh boy, there's a heck of a lot. As many people have said, Dragon Age is pretty high up there - once again, they're taking it in a new direction, and sure, it might not work out, but I love the series and BioWare's stuff in general. Also the rest of the Wolf Among Us, which is painful to wait for and Telltale could really benefit from opening lines of communication. Watch_Dogs, also delayed, but I'm actually quite okay with that, looking forward to it. And then the Witcher 3... Oh! And then Obsidian's Kickstarter projects, Torment: Tides of Numenera (which I'm really quite looking forward to) and Project Eternity (which I'm less interested in, but still curious about). And there's some DLC which I'm looking forward to (which is odd, but hey), namely Left Behind for The Last of Us and Conquest of Paradise for Europa Universalis IV.

Also, some other ones which I'm not sure on, but will probably check out: Thief, Elder Scrolls Online (MMOs aren't my thing, monthly subscription makes it worse, but I do enjoy the Elder Scrolls and Bethesda's work in general, so I'll consider it once I get a good look at the finished product), Destiny (Shooter/MMO hybrid sounds like a cross of two things which don't appeal all that much, but I might be wrong), and whatever the next Assassin's Creed title is (I'm wary about annual titles, but I do enjoy the series, so with any luck it won't be a dud like Revelations), and I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that I'm forgetting, or just don't know about. What I am looking quite forward to is seeing what they start doing now that the new console generation is here - which many skeptics will of course say is "not much", which could well be true, but it's also possible that with the raised technological benchmark we will see improvement in things less superficial than slightly improved graphics. Doesn't hurt to be mildly optimistic.

BlazBlue: Chronophantasma (US release)
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (Collector's Edition)
Tales of Xillia 2 (US release)
Kingdom Hearts II.5 (US release)
Persona 5 (Doesn't matter...)

Huh... I guess I have a 2014 video game purchase theme already... (I'm sure they'll be more, but right now... Those are on my To-Buy list... basically "straight-up", "Day 1", "US release" PARTY, baby!!)

There are only two games I'm looking forward to this year...and its kind of funny.

Dragon Age Inquisition
Dreamfall Chapters

Both are coming out at the same time this year, are the third installments of a series and start with DR.

Definitely looking forwards to:
Tom Clancy's The Division
Wolfenstein: The New Order
Transistor
Thief
Dark Souls II
Titanfall
Watch Dogs

If I can also put aside my resentment towards Sony and/or Microsoft, I'll most definitely get Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes as well.

I've been looking through the 2014 releases and... well... nothing really. Apart from maybe MGS5 there isn't anything I'd want to buy. Not worried though, it was the same for me last year and 2013 became one of my favorite gaming years. I'll just pick things up along the way. :)

MGS5
Witcher 3
Infamous: Second Son
Dark Souls 2

With a more tentative interest in Transistor, Watch Dogs, and a number of games either yet to be fully unveiled or clearly in longer stages of development with hazy release dates.

Others pending largely on how they're received.

(this doesn't account for face-lifted ports of existing games)

Persona 5
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
Guilty Gear Xrd
BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma

Good on thread for reminding me to add Transistor.

All day-one purchases, though I'm not sure the Persona titles will be out this year :(.

Either way, going to be a good 1-2 years for fighters for me. :D

Crap, I have a Wii U now; I should probably start looking for stuff for that too!

Not much this year for me so far.
Destiny
Titanfall (I'll be playing on PC, cause I don't want an Xbox One)
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (buying the collectors edition of it...)
Infamous: Second Son
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD (Limited Edition, if it has one like 1.5)
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (The supremely glorified demo)
Watch Dogs
And one DLC, that being Left Behind.

What I am really hoping for is a release window on FFXV, so that Kingdom Hearts 3 will come out before I hit 25...Not that it's going very well so far.

Not much... Final Fantasy 13-3 is pretty much the only one. I will be getting a WiiU when Bayo 2 drops though.

Maybe Broken Age too.

Thank you to everyone who responded.

Am I feeling enthused yet?

About Evil Within, yes. How did I miss the previews for this? Watched the first 30 seconds of the game played from the start on their website and turned it off because it certainly feels like the sort of thing I want to experience first-hand when I'm actually playing.

I guess I'd be more excited about Witcher 3 & Dark Souls 2 if I'd played 2 and 1 respectively. I guess you have to say it should be a great year for RPGs.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for Transistor.

I'm surprised about how much anticipation there is for FF-XIII-2 given how much the first two are criticized on these forums. Out of interest how many of you loved the first two, and how many are just hoping for an improvement? (I actually enjoyed XIII-1 for all its obvious problems, only got about a third of the way through the second one, hence why I'm not waiting with baited breath for 3)

I'd forgotten about Mirror's Edge, definitely interested in it, though I think 2014 is unlikely.

Seems like there are a lot of games coming out this year that I'm just too jaded about. I want to get excited about WatchDogs, but I can't. I'm not saying it won't be good, it may be fantastic, but we've been hearing about it for ages and I'm not sure how its going to be more than GTA with some Cyberpunky tech gameplay elements. Is it actually going to be fun? Similarly Titanfall and Destiny may turn out to be great shooters, but at the moment they just feel generic to me. Thief I imagine as being just like Hitman Absolution, with dumbed down mechanics (I hope I'm wrong).

Anyway going to have to accept that lots of people are genuinely excited about this year, and it's just be being grumpy.

Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus
Dust: An Elysian Tale (overdue for this but I've been waiting)

Unlike 2013 there are actually games I'm looking forward to this year!

1) Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Expansion to my favorite game of all-time. I've had some hands on with the closed beta and can't wait to play the real thing!

2) Dragon Age: Inquisition - Origins was my favorite RPG of last generation and I loved DA:2 despite the bad reception it received. I can't wait to get back into this world in hopes they can capture the great characters of the first game with the wonderful combat of the second.

3) inFamous: Second Son - I don't plan on buying a PS4 anytime soon so I won't be playing this game until later on. Even so, I consider inFamous 1&2 to be the greatest open world game and greatest superhero game I've played. I absolutely love the gameplay and the travel system as well as the story. It's hard to believe this game will live up to the precedence of the previous games but here's hoping.

4) The Walking Dead: Season 2 - I consider this a 2014 game because it's only 1/5th of the way released at this stage. A must buy for me once the whole game is available to play. I don't expect it to be as good as the first one but I doubt it'll disappoint either.

Dark Souls 2
Watch Dogs
GTA V (PC version)

Off the top of my head. I'm sure there'll be more, but those are the ones I'm most excited about. DS2 because I love the franchise and will be playing with my brother. Watch Dogs because... well, GTA+hacking=fun and I actually have a lot of faith in Ubisoft (and don't mind them milking franchises, as long as the individual games are still good). And GTA because fuck it, it's GTA. And I'm curious as to what the Online portion is like, could be a lot of fun.
