Thief ? Even if they completely miss the mark with this. Even if the world looks a bit too much like Dunwall. And even if they somehow botch Garrett?s character by, Dishonored awoke something within me that needs to be attended too. As I played through Dishonored I found I found more enjoyment in sneaking around and nabbing every treasure or valuable I could while without anyone ever having a clue that I had just cracked a vault or something. Yes, I know I could just play the original Thief games, but I am not able to really enjoy or get into a game when I am leaning over my table stretching out to reach of the keyboard.

Fable Anniversary ? I am eager to see one of my most favorite games from ..that generation of consoles(What number is tied to that generation again? I thought it would be) all prettied up in current graphics. I?m not someone who is all about graphics but I am someone who is all about art style and I cannot wait to see the art style in that game rendered in an engine that can do it justice.

Owl Boy (assuming it even comes out this year) It?s just such a charming and nostalgia itching game. If you haven?t checked it out there are gameplay videos all over youtube I recommend you just take a look.

Hyper Light Drifter ? Look at it!!
Wolfenstein ? Wolfenstein was the first video game I ever played so I am 100% loyal to this series no matter what. It?s also always interested to see where they are going to take things. It?s just one of those franchises where they keep the fundamentals, ie BJ and Nazi?s and then they will just go ?okay now let?s throw in the blob with some cyber zombies that are really piloted by squids!? they just take it anywhere they want and I love that.

Evil Within ? looks pretty good and for some reason I am really craving horror again and hey it?s coming from the guy who literally had me scared to sleep downstairs for an entire month (because zombies couldn?t climb stairs in RE)

Donkey Kong

Metal Gear...whatever it?s called.. ? Stealth, I love stealth and lately with everything being taken so seriously I am just looking to just lose myself in some insane, beautiful Japanese narrative.

Deception

Transistor ? art style it?s all about the art style for me, also it?s from Greg and the people behind Bastion so you know you are in for a treat.

Odd World: New and Tasty ? A superb platformer being brought back to life and given a new paint job. I just wouldn?t be able to live with myself if I did not support this.

Crap after putting this list together I just remembered...I can't put Mighty No. 9 on it >.<!!!

The Witcher 3
Dragon Age Inquisition
Thief
Wild Season
Atelier Escha & Logy
Dark Souls II
Persona V

I'm also now looking forward to the new Deception and Oddworld games which I wasn't aware of until I saw the above post.

Still hoping for a release of Rune Factory 4 and especially Shin Megami Tensei IV here in the UK :(

Dragon Age Inquisition
Mirror's Edge 2
Elder Scrolls Online
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2

These round out the top of my list as Day 1 purchases. I may pick up Diablo Reaper of Souls if I don't get enough of a medieval kick from the above selections. I'll also be eyeing Telltale's Game of Thrones pretty hard. I never really got into their Walking Dead games since I look for more of a catharsis when I play and it seemed like the opposite of that.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is definitely one. While I've played some Bioware games that had more faults than others, like DA2, I've yet to play a Bioware game that I didn't enjoy. And at this point, I've played every Bioware game except Baldur's Gate II, and that only because I'm currently trying to get through Baldur's Gate (fun game, but it is brutally difficult). Needless to say, I want DA:I.

Watch Dogs is another one that I'm interested in, mostly because the idea of playing as a hacker in a setting that has gone Big Brother is actually a pretty unique one, and one that I am eager to see done.

Evil Within, from what I've seen, looks like a heck of a strong horror game. I want a survival horror game that isn't "Rambo with zombies", and this might fit the ticket just fine.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U is a given for me. I've enjoyed all three games (yes, even Brawl), and the idea of playing Mega Man makes me happy inside.

I'm keeping an eye on The Sims 4, but Sims 3 was a bit too much, in my mind. Felt a bit overwhelming, and with nothing really given focus. If they work on doing a few things great rather than a hundred things "all right", I'll be more optimistic.

The Sims 4 and Banished [http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/]. Been waiting for Banished for a long time now, should be out in a few weeks. Fingers crossed.

Lately I've been more interested in indie games and such, so I don't usually find out about them early on. If I do, it's way too early on and I just ignore it so I don't get tired of not hearing anything.

If there were more Harvest Moon, Village Builders, that kind of thing coming out this year, I'd be happier. I've shifted into a casual, light and happy phase in the last while and not much has scratched that itch.
secrets of grinderia, Castaway paradise, Stardew Valley. There was also a sort of medieval villiage building game that i saw on RPS a while ago, can't remember the name of it and i guess i forgot to note it down. sorry.

Anyway, personally for me:
-Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (maybe, i've never really played a DK game before, but this one interests me for some reason)
- Mario Kart 8
- Starbound
- A hat in time (thanks for mentioning this, forgot all about it)
- New legend of zelda game (maybe)
- Plus the games i listed before.

I'd also be interested in sims 4, because i'm a huge The Sims fan, but to me it seems like EA have just messed up this one. :/

Any subsequent updates to Kerbal Space Program, and any Steam sales that make Civilization V DLCs cheaper.

The order: 1886
MGS 5
Destiny
Dark Souls 2
Wasteland 2
Watchdogs
The Witcher 3
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Fable remake/undated

And a few other ones as well but those are my big ones. MSG and Destiny I have high hopes for. Wasteland goes with out saying. Whitcher and Dark Souls have me regardless. I've bought Dark Souls 2 times over and if I fix my PS3 I'll have to buy a replacement for it. I have high hopes for the order 1886, more so than Watchdogs.

And the First fable was one of the first buys I made with my first payday. I failed a big Italian test. And then the class.

Loved that damn game.

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting Watchdogs for the Wii U. I think Mario Kart is coming out, as is Super Smash Brothers. My big question is, will a system seller come out to make me get the PS4. So far, I know of none.

Not much. I'm not really looking forward to anything that's a sequel or anything online-centric (my ISP decided providing service is becoming more and more optional every week it seems).

So, a few maybes but nothing definitive.

Maybe I'll finally give that Dark Souls thing proper attention.
Maybe I'll nab Witcher III.
Maybe look into Star Citizen though the heavy emphasis on online has me wary.

Oh, and the official launch of Starbound. (still waiting on the next patch before I bother playing again)

Apart from that, it seems like a good year for me to skip.
Though there's always March to look forward to, just to see how gloriously EA fucks up as they have for the previous 3 years.

The obvious one that I'm cautiously optimistic about is Dark souls 2. Tanimura came in scared us all with words like "accessibility" and it greatly concerned a lot of us. However hes gone out of his way to try and address the concerns of the Dark souls community and I think that attempt means a lot. That doesnt mean the game will be good but its the attempt on his part that I really appreciate. Only time will tell if its the next great piece of art or a steaming pile of things gone horribly wrong
from what i've heard it seems like they went out of their way to make it harder.

OP
Dark Souls 2
Witcher 3
MGS5
Evil Within
Hyper Light Drifter
Shovel Knight

thats all i can think of at the moment.
