Mortal Kombat X- Played 9 and enjoyed it very much, the inclusion of new fighters and a time span of 25 years make me very hyped for this game (yet Netherealms is being very stubborn about their trailers, seriously they have at least 12 new fighters and we only seen 4)

Bloodbourne- Thought the game looked fun but after watching the Alpha I'm freaggin hyped, not only the inclusions of guns in this series spice up the combat but the character pretty much move like Feitan from Hunter X Hunter

Persona V- Never brought a Persona game so hey first time for everything

Kingdom of Hearts 3- Its been a decade since the last one and I'm definitely getting this one.

The Rest are

Batman Arkham Knight
The Division
Metal Gear Solid 5
Doom

The Witcher 3: Really enjoyed the Witcher 2 both for its gameplay and story so i'm really eager to see an open world Witcher game.

Halo 5 Guardians: I'm one of those few who actually enjoyed Halo 4 (the single player campaign at least) so I'm looking forward to seeing what 343 will do next.

Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain: Despite Ground Zeros short length it showed a lot of promise in the gameplay department and a full blown open world MGS game can only be a good thing. Plus I love MGS stories, as nutty and impenetrable as they can be at times, and I'm eager to see how the next chapter in Big Boss' story unfolds.

Tales of Zesteria: Huge Tales of fan and with the 20th anniversary of the Tales of series approaching I can't wait to see what Bamco has in stored

Persona 5: Persona game nuff said, not that there is much to say given what we know about the game so far

Others
Batman Arkam Knight
Final Fantasy XV
FFXIV Heavensword (expansion)

So lots of games to look forward to next year, unless half of them get pushed back.

Looking forward to updates for Starbound, as the latest release has been really nice.

I'll look out for the new Tomb Raider because the last one was a game I bought on a whim and turned out to be fantastic. I've got it in my head pretty much exactly what they need to do with this game and *fingers crossed* they take it in the right direction.

Expecting an announcement for Fallout 4 at some point (not going to be a 2015 release though obviously).

I haven't really looked that far ahead in game releases. I just have Dragonball Xenoverse on my mind. Finally, female super saiyans, and stuff.

The ever elusive Silent Hills is mine :) Hideo Kojima has made fantastic games, Guillermo del Toro is a great director and a legend, and Norman Reedus is a great actor, dedicated to his work. Plus P.T was scary as hell, so excited for it.

I'm hyped as fuckkkkk for Persona 5.
Reasonably hyped for Bloodborne if I can actually buy a PS4 before release (I just bought a Xbone, I don't want to :'{)
Slightly excited for Pillars of Eternity (haven't really followed development, but it's being done by quality people)
And finally, looking forward to future Telltale episodes (mostly Borderlands related)

I was kinda expecting a new Fallout game next year, but I don't know. Would make for a great rpg year if it did get announced though.

The hype for Zeda WiiU us real, sure.... but let's remember folks... new Star Fox comes first! :D

Otherwise my list now consists of the following "looking forward to"s:

-Xenoblade Chronicles X
-Persona 5
-Bloodborne
-Metal Gear Solid 5
-P.T. aka Silent Hill 5
-Vergil May Cry 4: Special Vergil Edition: Vergi's Re-Awakening: Featuring Vergil from the Devil May Cry SeriesTM

And anything else that has had enough gameplay footage to justify interest and quality.

Persona 5
Disgaea 5
Bloodborne
Tales of Zestiria
Zelda U
Star Fox U
Majora's Mask 3D

The sad truth is that, as of right now, I could only play about two of those games... Other than that, I got nothing...

Very little. I tend to stay behind the curves on game releases.

But if there is a Harvest Moon type of games coming to vita next year, I'd buy one of those. I hate that 3DS has all the monopoly on those games.

Right now the only game I'm super looking forward to (and that I know is coming out in 2015) is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. I've been waiting for it to come out for what feels like over a year :/

Honestly, none. Call me a cynic but this year has been terrible for gaming.
Do correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going to assume you neither own nor want a Wii U.

I don't claim to know a huge amount about the 2015 release schedule, but here goes...

Metal Gear Solid V (I'm hoping the scale of it makes up for Ground Zeroes...I mean come on, I love that Kojima basically does whatever he wants from a story perspective, his delightfully mad "why the hell not?" approach is far too rare in games it's for that reason I'm going to miss the series sorely if this is indeed the last one, but with that said...one mission released as a game? dick move bro)

Dragon Ball Xenoverse: really hopeful for this one, I know the last few offerings haven't been great...to say the least. they've actually been pretty damn awful not counting the Budokai HD collection, but this one is looking really good, and also a storyline that isn't just a retread of the events of Dragon Ball Z? hell yeah sign my ass up and it releases in the EU the day after my birthday so there's that

Final Fantasy XV: likewise, really hopeful for this one too, though with a little less reason I grant you, I'm pretty much an abused-spouse type fan of this series, I'm acutely aware they haven't released a REALLY good one since 10, (unless you count the HD remaster) and I should know because I've bought them all (I enjoyed 13 more than I think most did and am a bit more forgiving, but I still recognize the drop in quality there, also A Realm Reborn was good, but fuck paying a subcription, this one however does look like it could be really good...or not we'll see

Zelda U: it's a Zelda game, and looking pretty damn goood so far I have to say

Majora's Mask 3D: maybe I'll finish it this time

Dragon Quest Warriors: that's 2015 right?

the inevitable Shadow of Mordor sequel

wait really?!? I haven't looked much into the game, but who's the female super saiyans?!?

OT: many have already been mentioned here multiple times, but tis my list after all:

The witcher 3

KH3 (possibly if it even comes out in 2015)

Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain (never got into the first couple games, but I've enjoyed what I've seen/played)

FF XV: I really like the setting and atmosphere of what I've seen, and what little gameplay I've seen it doesn't look bad either

Pillars of eternity (dear god am I shlicking hard over this game coming out, so excited)

Uncharted 4 (I'll have to get a ps4 eventually for these games, probably sometime in the fall depending on when they come out)

Battlefront (this could be amazing, but if it ends up just being battlefield: star wars skin ultimate premium edition, then I'm going to consider its existence a blight upon the world and go back to playing battlefront 1 and 2. it severely killed my interest when I heard EA/DICE got ahold of it and didn't use the battelfront 3 that was already in alpha existence, it looked like a perfect update.)

The order 1886 from what I've seen on it, it interests me, but I'll probably wait until reviews and such come out before I really look into getting it

There are a few others, but these four are the ones I'm most anticipating. Unlike most other's lists thus far, there are barely, if any, triple-A titles I'm anticipating.

Feel free to call me a cynic or a gaming hipster, but I've gotten FAR more enjoyment out of the indie-gaming scene in recent years than I have from the triple-A offerings.
at least for me, there are VERY few, if any rts's that interest me, and horror has never interested me in a video game setting in the slightest. While telltale games are good, I usually wait a year or so after they are out before I check them out, so 1/4 of your list could possibly interest me. They aren't bad looking games, they just have next to nothing I'm looking for in the slightest, if more indie games came out with deep rpg/story mechanics or came out with awesome turn based/pause combat customization games (such as FTL), then I'd have an interest in them.

The Order 1886
Final Fantasy Type-0

Any others I guess will filter onto the list as the year goes on.
@wooty

if you have The Order 1886 on your list then no wonder you're losing hope for gaming. you're putting faith into games that are already predestined to fail.

op:
Blood born
Hyperlight drifter
Witcher 3

Arkham Knight, and Majora's Mask HD on the 3DS/2DS.

I'm also interested in seeing how FFXV is received, because I do want to pick up one of the newer (post-X) Final Fantasies one day.

How can you tell its predestined to fail? You can never tell until you actually play it.

SPAZ 2: It's looking to be pretty exciting. 200 simultaneous AI captains flying around the galaxy, fighting each-other, trading, looting, and running from zombies just like the players does. Zombie survival like never before.

HL3: This is the year, I can feel it.

My friggin backlog: I don't want any more games since I have too many. I've already picked up games I've been wanting to play when they were on Steam sale, I have to play them!

It's not really a who. Xenoverse lets you create a character with a gender select option. You can pick Saiyan, Buu, human, Nemekian, and so forth as species IIRC.
Unless they go out of their way to screw over female saiyans out of super saiyan status, then there's nothing stopping a female super saiyan. And if they do prevent female super saiyans, there's going to be a hell of a roadblock, or the most powerful normal saiyan ever. <.<

oh gotcha, hadn't looked to closely at the story for the game yet so wasn't sure if they added an alternate universe with more characters or something.

As long as the character has saiyan blood, they hopefully should be able to be any sort of super saiyan.

.....just saiyan.

(had to say it.)

Oh, I wasn't really criticizing other's lists. I was just noticing that most of the games I'm anticipating next year are indie titles while most others were posting lists comprised primarily of triple-A titles. And from my own experience, saying that triple-A games haven't interested me much lately, while having quite a few indie titles on my 'best of the year' list, has often garnered me the "hipster" or "cynic" label.

Which is odd, given my apathy or distaste for 'pretentious' games like Dear Esther and my shameless fanboy-love of things like Titanfall...

But anyway, as I was saying, I wasn't criticizing anyone for their choice of anticipated games. If anything, I'm just glad most posters are actually excited about upcoming game releases. I honestly expected to see more posts claiming "gaming is dead" or some such cynical comment.

Hope that clarifies my post.

Oh gods, me too. I actually created two new tag categories in my Steam Library called "Games to Play" and "Games to Finish", just because of the influx of games I've purchased or received over the past three months.

First world problems, amiright?
