As said by a lot of people in this thread, I'm very, very surprised the number is as low as 60%. With that said, there are jackasses in real life; there are jackasses on the internet. This shouldn't be a shock to anybody.

60% admitted to it, while the 40% dared not admit that they enjoyed the pop ups
Got $20 that at least 9 of the 10 pop ups have something to do with a petite girl and a horse/dog. too bad we will never get proof I'm right on the money with that.
Really? In my experience they all involved scantily clad woman inviting me to come and play, and I'm not talking about the Evony adds

Same, but loads of the shit kids are into scares the hell out of me. You know that's what kids now are looking for, the weirdest shit they can find period.
It wasn't forced on them, they went looking for it, and the Holy grail of the porn world is the site with all of it free, no downloads, no viruses(keep lookin ya snot nosed little bastards, you'll never find it NEVER AHAHHAHAHH!)

They have bad experiences because they're thin skinned.
They come here expecting sunshine and happiness, but then they get trolled and start crying.

Well, I went online once during red dead redemption. And I was playing one of the gang hideouts when this guy comes along and starts sniping me while I'm trying to clear the hideout. So I died about 40 times, then snuck up on him, took my semi-automatic shotgun and blew him 5 new ass holes :D

Then he recruits a five man posse and hunts me down. If you've played online, you don't respawn far from where you die, so getting away is impossible, especially if they have horses. I fought back and the moment one of them dies, I'M the asshole who is being a prick and killing them off. So I grinned, logged out of the room (and considering I was the only other person besides their posse playing on the server), it was like "What now? Kick someone out of your posse and hunt them?"

People are just immature idiots and don't know when to say "Fuck it" and log off

Meh.
98% of those kids will easily get over it
1,6% will cry for few weeks and than get over it.
0,3% will wake up screaming like little pussies (sorry but that's true)
0,1& will cry for few weeks, wake up screaming and than start brutally murdering people.

Sorry that's how the world works. If you are either one of those 2% I feel really bad for you. Because that's how the world works, nobody is going to scratch your back and say nice things since you know... LIFE SUCKS.
GET OVER IT!

"Technology is part of the solution, but a lot of it is about good parenting. The singularly most effective way to help keep your children safe online is to have an ongoing dialogue with them. There's so much we can do to make sure our children have a positive experience online. This report shows us where to focus our efforts right now."
Thank you. :D

But really what next?

60% of adults who are alive have had bad experience with other people in the workplace.

OH SNAP.
What else can I make that is obvious and "no shit"like.

Let see 100% of people breathe and can choke on their own spit.

100% of people have at one time not like someone else...

Because the problem is limited to Xbox Live.

Clearly.

And I'm willing to bet at least half those kids also participated in "cyber bullying", something I find absurd since its an online voice. It can't hurt you in any way. AT ALL!
You have no idea what it is, do you?
Call me naive, but I, as of yet, never had a bad experience on Xbox Live.

Maybe kids should not have access to the internet.
You mean hence why gaming platforms normally have the 18+ rule?
They interviewed MINORS! Technically, these people arn't allowed to have online accounts or even be playing games online, let alone being bullied on them.

And seriously... 7 year olds? My first impression (and I feel like an asshole for it) was "Did reading rabbit say go back to school?"

100% of politicians should STFU!

EDIT: I do mean this as a joke... No offense if anyone in the gaming thread is a poltician or takes offense to this

Solution - stick to age appropriate games/content unless you are mature enough to handle it

All I can say is parent responsibilities

I've been living years on the internet without being called a bundle of sticks or a mule. I guess those other kids are less experienced than me. On the other hand, my schools heavily taught us how to avoid (cyber)bullying and to stay off the free "entertainment" sites.

Same in real life. Bullying is almost nonexistant in my schools. I'll see when I get to high school. Long as they don't have a knife to pull on me, years of Kung-Fu lessons will finally be worth it.

Not a surprise at all. The difference I guess for me would be that I found a way to deal with those bad experiences that has often led me to turn a situation around and make it far worse for the "cyber-bully" or jerk. If I do say so myself, I have become exceedingly efficient at it. ;)

People you see in the street aren't nice nor are they considerate... why the fuck do you expect people online to be the same?

People need to learn how to use the internet safely. If you can't then you shouldn't be on it it's as simple as that.
