This week, the Extra Credits team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/extra-credits/2019-Videogame-Music] took on videogame music: why 8-bit tracks were so awesome back in the day, and the state of videogame music now. Which old-school games had some of your favorite, most memorable theme songs?. On the other hand, is there any videogame music that you absolutely cannot stand?

I voted "other", because for me, Tetris remains immortal, above all others.

Super Mario Brothers. Easy.

Everyone knows that tune.

Sweet merciful Crom, how is Castlevania not an option?

With the exception of the Heat Man stage (which I believe also had the weakest tune and barely a melody) I can still hum every Mega Man 2 song, including bosses, final boss, intro AND exit screen, and the wily stage song. And several of 3, and one from 4.

Sure, I can remember all the Super Mario songs, but there's only 4. Sonic's got some better quality music, but the melodies for the most part never stuck as well for me. Er, except for drowning, which wasn't really a song.

To me, both Megaman Series and Castlevania up to three had the most memorable music.

Gotta go with Mario. It's just so iconic...EVERYONE knows it, and it has that really annoying ability to get totally stuck in your head for days.

all of them did but man super mario was the first and that everyone and their grandma knows the tune.
