How is Trump not an advertiser and therefore prone to the kind of manipulation you are claiming he is innocent of?
He is in the WWE Hall of Fame, he is a wrestler. He’s spent more time creating, commissioning, and participating in marketing and advertisement than I have programming. I am a programmer. He is an advertiser.
Thinking that Trump is a wrestler has disqualified you from being able to have an opinion about who Trump is. It's like you need to pass a written driving test before they allow you to drive a car for real. You've failed, and your opinions should be dismissed.

Your point is based on your metrics for determining who qualifies as what. You have shown that your metrics lead to absurd conclusions, like "Trump is a wrestler". Therefore, your reasoning should be dismissed as unreliable.
It's like if, though your unique methods, you evaluated 2+2 as 5. We shouldn't trust your methods to lead us to the right conclusions.

Then address my point rather than something irrelevant like “what makes someone a wrestler.” My willingness to defer to the authorities as to what constitutes a wrestler has nothing to do with my argument regarding Trump’s being an advertiser, which defers to no authority.
I think they're the favorite Greek words of whatever chan or forum Houseman gets his talking points from and debating strategy from.
It would truly be asking too much to want you to take 30 seconds to see how this literally applies to 90% (being generous here) of what you post on this forum, wouldn't it?

I addressed your point by pointing out that your logic is invalid. It's called argumentum ad absurdum.
But the two arguments are irrelevant to one another. I made two completely different arguments, one being that Trump is a wrestler based on the authorities of wrestling, and another that Trump is an advertiser based on the large volume of time he spends doing advertising. These are completely orthogonal arguments, and your bringing up the (seeming) absurdity of the former to deny the latter is a kind of ad hominem, arguing that I cannot be trusted because I have said absurd things in the past. Did you not recently imply that a Sinclair owned ABC affiliate is part of the liberal media and has a comical lack of understanding of guns? Is that not itself absurd? Were I to apply the same argument to you we would all have to ignore you.

It depends. What kind of writing? This is more similar to letter writing, which is quite different from other forms. Trump’s advertisements were advertisements in form.
