SPACE!

Just kidding.

How about my room?
Haven't seen a game about that yet.
The sims!
(I've been quoting you a lot recently, haven't I?)

OT: Hmmm, I dunno. Probably something like a game set in the Caveman ages.

EDIT: Ninja'd. Darn.
Also Twisted Metal: Small Brawl had a level in your bed room. Maybe not YOUR specifically bed room but it was a bed room.

Australia? Egyptian Mythology? Taco Bell? The surface of the Sun? 17th century France?

Any of those work?
Australia: Ty the Tasmanian Deviil, 17th Century France: Napoleon: Total War, Egyptian Mythology: The ClueFinders 4th Grade Adventures: Puzzle of the Pyramid, Surface of the Sun: There was a level in one of the Magic School Bus games that was set there. It was awesome.

Taco Bell however...well it does work. Wait: Taco Bell- Dress The Sauce Packet. I'm sowwy for being a spoil sport...

But now I'm giving you a chance to spoil my attempts at finding one:

How about: A Night Club, Heaven, 10th Century China, Celtic Mythology or a bar?

Edit:

In the game Medieval 2 Total War the Danes are evil, evil people who refuse to reach a peace treaty.

what about a sci-fi world war 3 game where the usa isn't involved?

it could be about Poland, Sweden and Romania teaming up against the evil Belgium empire

and instead of using normal bullets you could use jet-propelled Barbwire

and this is just on top of my head

Purgatory, Heaven,
Pandemonium Fortress in Diablo 2 is technically heaven. It's described as the final outpost at the gates of hell an' all.

Also, cba to find the black hole and neptune posts but Infinity, while not finished yet, will feature black holes and our solar system however and since you can land on any planet in the game you could count neptune as playable there. And flying into a black hole will work too, you'll be torn to shreds of course but you can still fly into one :p

I have yet to see any games based on the Great Depression. Granted, it would probably just end up like Grand Theft Auto.
Mafia: City of Lost Heaven takes place over the Depression/prohibition era back drop. And yes, it is a lot like Grand Theft Auto. But don't hold that against it.

Actual, proper, Steampunk....
YES!! None of this "well there's an airship, it MUST be steampunk!" (glares at Nostalgia)
as for an original idea, how about the inside of a wait that's been done. ... I know! how about, wait damn done. ...The fictional world that exists in my mind? Yeah, there do there, it's awesome in here, with like lightsabers, and fireballs and comic book deaths galore, so much fun, so little disk space.
Doesn't the Thief series count? Even if they've mashed the Victorian elements with medieval fantasy.

Arcanum if I must repeat myself.

how about some game where your choices effect the game in a mass way, i would also like to see it in space, you know with all kinds of aliens and stuff and like some system where you actions get rated as good or bad and these said actions would also effect the world.....

hmm the hard thing is coming up with a title for this game.

Maybe the Stone Age? The times when everybody was amazingly hairy and only had clubs as weapons. Makes one compelling game doesn't it?

An FPS set in the American Revolutionary War. It would be totally different from every other FPS because your shots would actually count for something since you can only fire one shot at a time. You could start in a normal army and stand there and get shot. Then it would switch perspective to the guerilla warfare and you'd be sneaking through the woods picking off soldiers and raiding caravans and such.

a game set in medieval times but not the pure rts versions of it like the medieval series by total war more like mount and blade except if it was done by a nig name company so they could afford to polish teh graphics a bit more and make it more fluid
