We have Crunchie in Australia, too, ever since I can remember. It's a little over-sweet for me these days but I loved it when I was a kid. Basically it's a brittle, light, very dry and flaky but still very sweet and even slightly melty-once-your-tongue-hits-it honeycomb-like toffee with a layer of chocolate wrapped around it. It's a bit sickly if you have it in large quantities and it is oh so very bad for you, basically a one way ticket to early onset diabetes, but when I was 10 years old a big Crunchie bar was like manna from heaven so I couldn't have given a fuck.bak00777 said:One of my professors is from Northern Ireland and the other day we somehow got off topic and started talking about candy. She kept talking about this candy bar called a Crunchie (i think that is how you spell it). Now the question is what does it taste like? I think she said something about a honeycomb, but i didnt know if she was refering to the breakfast ceral or an actual honey comb.
