That said, ok, so what? What does this matter? What does this actually do for customers? Like I said before, is the new plan to drop a nothingburger every day until the ship somehow rights itself?

I blame Microsoft for this. Sony was doing good because Microsoft was a viable competitor, but now that Xbox sucks Sony doesn't need to try and they can impliment dogshit business practices upon people because Playstation owners have no other options.

This reminds me of how sports teams will sometimes, or often get comfortable with a big lead, then slack off and end up maybe even losing the game. Sony’s leadership shouldn’t get comfy with a lead. They should be performing at least above average regardless. I think it’s also up to the consumer base to keep them in check.
