Yeah, I can see what you are saying throughout, but especially in those arcs.Ghaleon640 said:Damn... I gave. Good looking into it again. I got to the purgatory arc,so 16. Looking at it again, My statement was a little harsher than it needed to be, though I don't want to retract it completely, skimming isn't quite the same as the in-depth read I gave it last. Thanks for bringing me back into it though... damn, I have work to do.... .. . Oh FNAR, you're so funny.MrDeckard said:Which arc had you gotten to? I'm mostly curios because I had not noticed this trend and would like to see.Ghaleon640 said:I really did like Jack when I first started, and want to get back into it, but after a while it just kind of felt like the author started pushing a 'men are the devil, women are god' sort of feel.MrDeckard said:If you don't mind it being a Webcomic and you don't mind furries, Jack is one of the best adult oriented stories out there.
Start at arc 1. Go from there.

Not to detract too strongly from it though, it was very very good and it hooked me terribly for a night or two... I think I'll check it out again sometime. (ooh... and your link makes it so easy...)
Also........... GIVE IN! Mwahahahaha!
(I thought it was rather apparent in arcs 10, 13, and the end of 8. It was also less than all men are the devil of course, because the writing is very good and there are great characters in it, just simply that almost all evil deeds were done by men.)
Which the script for Allstar Batman and Robin completely admits is what Mr. Miller was counting on. Which is frankly a little insulting. Oh well, that sort of thing is unfortunately fairly common, although it's usually skin-tight spandex outfits.Kalezian said:TestECull said:Sadly, you're not going to find it outside of porno, mainly because if someone tried to slip a harmless nip or two into a mainstream comic they'd be sued to hell.
hey, you know what time it is?
ITS MILLER TIME!
Frank Miller, his downward spiral in the Comic Book industry is well documented, and I can guarantee that most of his comics are a bit adult in nature.
I mean, some of his Batman comics have some viewable assets.
you can see their asses.
and like how Scarlet Johansson just found out, thats enough to get some guys worked up.
Not sure if serious...synobal said:Are there any comics out there that aren't afraid of adult themes? As well as situations? with out descending to the level of fetishistic pornography?
And a book, and a movie, but yeah it's worth a look.kman123 said:Heh, maybe Battle Royale? That's a manga though...
Maybe Kick-Ass.
yeah Ive been trying to venture off into the weird world of comic books...just read killing joke...it was....rather confrontingMallefunction said:Pretty much all the Alan Moore comics. Not a lot of porn, but they tend to not be afraid of sex and nudity when it comes up in the stories.
theres nudity in the new batgirl?synobal said:Are there any comics out there that aren't afraid of adult themes? As well as situations? with out descending to the level of fetishistic pornography?
I recently read the new reboot of Batwoman, my first experience with her and I found it kinda strange that at this point, in our society we must have obvious objects that break the scene to block something as simple as a nipple and it made me wish for a comic series that didn't have to pull it's punches with it's characters.
Please explain how I'm wrong and where you're getting your information. I actually don't mind getting schooled on this issue, but I need specifics.Jaime_Wolf said:First, Lost Girls is not illegal to own in the US. It can be hard to find in comic book stores, but you can buy it on Amazon. There are ways in which it might be of slightly gray legality, but you'd never be prosecuted for it, the laws would never hold up in court, and a lot of the naive descriptions of US obscenity law here are woefully misinformed.
