Ah, I remember this from a few years back.
I had a lot fun trying to think of obscure characters that Akinator wouldn't know, but lo and behold he knew most of them.

Bronies, be aware that it knows every pony. And I mean EVERY pony. That includes all the fanon characters, like Colgate, Carrot Top, et cetera. You'll lose.
EDIT: Awesome, I just wasted him four times in a row. I used Dim, Upside from Jumper, Deadra from Zeno Clash and Jane from Knytt Stories. Akinator appears to suck with indie games.

It's pretty good, Atomic Robo, Empowered and Axe Cop pretty easily. Sometimes it's surprising, given that none of the questions seem that specific.
So Far I have managed to beat it twice once using Olver from the wheel of time and the other using Taita from wilbur smiths egypt series
I beat him with Adi the alien from Adi's complete learning pack, and such! Proud of myself

He couldn't guess Alys Brangwin, Barghov (That Guy with the Glasses), the sorceress Pandora (Marzgurl), Conrad Poohs and his Dancing Teeth, Reynolds from SWAT 4, Mrs. Fairfax from SWAT 4, or Poochinski.
He DID guess Ma-Ti, Spoony, Pumpkinhead, Dr. Linksano, Vincent Magnotta, and Ensign Munro. My attempts to foil it with obscurity are so far about 50-50.

I started with Rand al Thor, which it got easily. I tried to shake it up by trying F.E.A.R.'s Point Man, a complete non-character, and it still got it. I then tried Nien Nunb, Lando's copilot from Return of the Jedi. It even got that; this thing has a ridiculously extensive database.
Edit: Well, I finally found one that it didn't get on the first try: Huan, Luthien's dog from the Silmarillion. The first time it guessed Oy, from The Dark Tower. It still got him on the second try, but it's something of a victory. This is after it got Feanor on the first try.
Edit Edit: Ooh, I'm only the 31st person to try Huan. I thought he was a pretty well known character, at least among people who had read the Silmarillian. Then again, how many people are there that got far enough into that book to get to the Lay of Leithian?
Final Edit: I finally managed to stump it, with Emperor Elagabalus, an obscure, much hated Roman Emperor.

Whelp, it took a few tries, but I finally got it with Mike Kelly, a federal politician. But seriously, that's an extensive database going on there...
