Yes, the serotonin levels are affected by light, especially sunlight. One idea is to not use curtains before going to bed, that way when the sun rises and shines through your window your body will be affected by the sunlight and you will have an easier time waking up.NimbleJack3 said:I saw a method on TV called light therapy. When you get up, looks at a reasonably strong light source as soon as possible. Opening all the curtains in your house is good. This does something with the seratonin in your brain, and eventually you find yourself going to bed and waking up earlier. Make sure you don't look at strong light before you go to bed, either. Try and relax in a dark room.
If that's the same as the sonic bomb I've got it's over 100 decibels isn't it? Plus it has a buzzer that goes under your matress or pillow. And yes, I have managed to sleep through it on several occasions.wolfy098 said:It makes a VERY loud noiseMcHanhan said:How do you time it to say, wake a person up at 9:30 am?. and also..what is it?. Is is a jack-in-the box that throws a hedgehog at you?. I might now wake up for that :/wordsmith said:Sonic Grenade? We sell them at my work, you don't sleep through them.
This is also a very good idea.Housebroken Lunatic said:One idea is to not use curtains before going to bed, that way when the sun rises and shines through your window your body will be affected by the sunlight and you will have an easier time waking up.
Definitely try that. I had getting up issues for years until I got such a mean alarm clock.DrunkWithPower said:Buy one of those alarm clocks attached to your pillow that deaf people use.
That seems dangerous...Neonbob said:If you really want to have a serious alarm clock...

Good point, but if a person really needs that to wake them up, maybe they should just go to bed earlier.. =|Neonbob said:Just a bit.VanityGirl said:That seems dangerous...Neonbob said:If you really want to have a serious alarm clock...

But hey, there is no way you're going to sleep through it.
