I kinda wish Link was Adventures of Link style (the side scroller) which would have been appropriate to the style of game.

Hey, idea! Super Mario Bros Crossover... 2!
Take Super nintendo versions of these characters (those that existed in the super nintento era), and do something similar.

I played this a few weeks ago, it has massive popularity. Samus rocks the shit outta it.

Incidentally, the game was recently updated. Simon can move though the Air, Megaman has smaller jumps, but can summon Rush, Samus had her sprites reversed and can duck now, and Bill is unchanged because he's game-breaking as it is.

Oh, and they added Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.

Mega-Man was my favourite in this, but I also enjoyed playing as the ninja.
