I think the price of a can of Coke is directly related to property tax rates. I'm personally offended at how much I'm being forced to pay. I mean, it's not as God awful as the rest of the world buying American products, but enough to warrant forum kvetching.rsacks said:I loled
OT: I just drove across 2/3 of the country (Chicago to San Francisco) and I saw the price of a can of coke vary from $0.65 up to $1.25 in vending machines and a 12-pack vary in prices from $4.50 to $7.00. The standard price I quote is from a suburb of San Francisco, $0.70 in a vending machine and $5.00 for a 12-pack.
Does canadian can help. Currently, our dollars are worth as much as americans and it's still 1.25$ for a can of Coke, Pepsi, Freska, Montain Dew and any soft drink.Connor18 said:I'm doing a maths assignment on foreign currencies. For this maths assignment I need the price of a certain item in different countries, one of which is America. Unfortunately google has proved (surprisingly) unhelpful in this venture so I'll ask you, Escapist Community. How much does a standard can of coke cost in America? (please include details such as city and source, eg vending machine/restuarant/supermarket).
Edit: Thanks all for help, got my info (and very speedy too!)

Canadian machines sure rip off us off, compared to your rates.Xpwn3ntial said:In the town I live in, 50 cents in a vending machine for a can, $1.00 for a bottle, and $1.75 for a 2-litre bottle.
This. After living in Australia it was heaven having it so cheap. $3 was shelled out every time I wanted a fizzy drink in Aus.Tucker154 said:In the average gas station in New York a coke costs $1.80 plus 8% tax.
