I think that Angry birds is a analogy for how the war in Iraq started.

The Pigs (Western civilisation) took the birds (Islamic states) eggs (oil, land, etc.) so now the Birds are flying themselves at structures to kill the pigs.

Well I don't I'll be going to see this in the cinema. I am not big on paying to see a movie based off an iPhone app that is based off a flash game. I wouldn't mind so much if it was a short but not a full length movie.

You have to respect the ambition, but does anyone else think Rovio is punching well above their weight class here? In sum, the company has had one hit game to date, has never offered any evidence that it knows how to craft a coherent story in any medium, and utterly lacks experience with any aspect of film making.

Yet Rovio hopes to rival Pixar.

This bit is just hilarious, seriously this Rovio needs to get their head out of their ass. Angry Birds wasn't even that good, It was fun but was no better than your average flash game.

It's funny because you wouldn't think so but I was at an Asian night market last week and there was a ton of Angry Birds merchandise. Mostly Chinese so I don't know how legit all of it was, but the stuff is out there. Hah, someone even went as for as building a giant slingshot and making pigs out of green balloons & paper that you could launch red bird plushies at, and had the gall to charge you as much as the game itself cost to play it. Yeah I don't see them being able to rival Pixar anytime soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they can get a successful movie off the ground.

This is pretty much what I first thought when I read this. It's also the most arrogant thing I've heard since Notch proposed a Minecraft convention.
