I've seen all of those too
Hellsing was freaking awesome. I liked the Soul Eater manga more though the show was still very good. Black Lagoon was a great show all of the action scenes were so over the top they were freaking amazing. Claymore was a Meh for me I just couldn't get into it. Gurren Lagann is my #6 favorite show. Darker Than Black was very well done but the story was a bit confusing the first time around. I own the first season of Spice and Wolf on DVD.
ok what about these ?

Love Hina ( watched it a very long time ago so I don’t know how it holds up)
kanon (better than the game)
xxxHolic (really funny)
Princess Mononoke
paprika (strange but enjoyable)
samurai champloo

now why am I the only one saying stuff recommend me something too.
Love Hina really isn't my style I can't get into Harem. xxxHolic I couldn't get into either I couldn't get past the first episode.I have not seen Paprika or Princess Mononoke. Samurai Champloo is great I have it on DVD...

and I recommend to u:
Full Metal Panic (all of them)
Blue Submarine No.6(I just got done with this one it's only 4 episodes)
Ergo Proxy (one of my favorites)
FLCL(chances are u have already seen it though)
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni(not Kai or Rei just the first one)
Noir(it was pretty damn good)

Death Note and BoBo-Bo-Bo BoBoBo
They're just all around great animes.
Death Note was good but it didn't engage me in the story as well as it could have. and oh God I hated every second of BoBo-Bo-Bo BoBoBo...

As the old parable goes, different strokes for different folks.

Ergo Proxy, it's interesting. I just started it. Full Metal Panic is great, so is the Hellsing OVA.

Although that list doesn't invoke absolute rage, it's lazy (lumping in several works for Satoshi Kon/Miyazaki/etc rather than picking their strongest), and manages to include several works of shonen nonsense which are not One Piece, which is pretty much the archetypal modern shonen, from which the others take their cue, and which is better and more popular than them.

Maybe you should just make a list off of Wikipedia or something and watch every anime that you haven't watched. Because with the amount of anime that you've seen; I doubt anyone here can help you.

I know I can't.

Durarara!! (With two exclamation marks in the title) Written by the same guy who wrote Baccano! and animated by the same studio. It started airing on the 7th though, so only 3 episodes have been released so far. Other than that I could recommend Code Geass and 07-Ghost. And of course classics like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun are great!

Oh, and Gun X Sword is pretty good aswell, though admittedly I've only seen 3 episodes from that one.

Noir. I'm not going to list for you as enough people are giving you lists. It's amazing.

desert punk (really good)
If you loved that, I'd read the manga because it's actually a lot better, though the tone is a little different.

I'm a fan of Lucky Star, as you can tell from my avatar. Slow paced but funny and it always seems to be referencing something.

Also I just started watching Seitokai No Ichizon. Again a slow pace, but still funny.

And I've already been ninja'd by lots of people in suggesting Cowboy Bebop

Yeah Lucky Star is my guilty pleasure(not in a sexual way I'm just embarrassed to watch it) and if u liked Lucky Star check out Pani Poni Dash, just think of a more fast paced and hectic Lucky Star and with references up the ass from Terminator and Star Trek to Lupin III and Evangelion.

Neon Genesis Evangelion, definitely. It's a mecha anime, though it becomes more psychological near the end. If you decide to watch it, you gotta watch the anime first, then Death and Rebirth, followed by End of Evangelion. Helps it make much more sense.
He could just watch the new movies/remakes that they have been making lately. For a first timer that might be best.
I've already seen the show, Death and Rebirth, and The End of Evangelion movie and I'm currently up to date in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies...
