Ha, I will on my 2nd anniversary!Sleekgiant said:I generally forget when I pass a post count, I did not celebrate 1k, 5k, or 10k, I will however celebrate my one year anniversary when that comes up.
I ran into this problem, but I just figured that i didn't care.Snork Maiden said:Problem with me potentially celebrating post counts is that I post so slowly by the time I hit any milestone *everyone* else on the Escapist will of already done so.
So do I!Macgyvercas said:I don't make threads when I hit [x] amount of posts, though I am planning on a 10k one if I ever make it that far.
What I normally do is put an EDIT in posts that are multiples of 1000 and say something along the lines of this: "Also, 3000th post. Go me!"

What's so special about zeroes in a row anyway. I'm going to do a celebratory post when I hit my 8293rd post. Not until them.

It's just our arbitrary numeric prejudice at work.SenseOfTumour said:I partly agree, in that I hate new years eve, and it's always been a horrible night for me.BonsaiK said:It's all abritrary nonsense based on our base-10 numeric system.Naheal said:What is your opinion on the matter?

However, I think getting to 10,000 (or 8293) without annoying the community enough to get warned/banned is a good thing and worth a quick celebration![]()
