While I usually am all for taking down big evil websites and a relative supporter of anon, this just seems like a stupid act that will only work to annoy their supporters. Come on anon, take down Apple or something. Facebook is meant to be not private. That's the whole point of social networking, so others can peer into your own self absorbed life if they so please.

Thats what I get pissed off about. Why the hell do people complain so much about stalkers and such on facebook when they post all this stuff on there thinking that they are safe to? Its not really Zuckerburg's fault, its the retarded masses

*heats up a few bags of fish sticks to share*

This should be fun to watch since my mother in law pretty much lives on FB. Checking statuses of friends, changing her own status, and of course making sure her imaginary farm has not a weed in sight. Seeing her deprived for even one day would be lulzy... Even if I have to hear about it every minute and explain how there's nothing broken on her end, as if I could even fix anything.

What's wrong with Facebook?

Wasn't it used to organize a revolution or something for a country? Isn't that kind of what they stand for?
And, I live in Central Queensland.. you know that bit in Australia that went underwater recently... and there was a facebook group used to keep everyone updated about where the waters were, where not to go, where to get help, missing pets and people etc.

The creator was recognized with an award for helping pull the community together... FB isnt that aweful...

Like I need another reason to despise them. Their lofty "ideals" are all show when they target resources the people they claim to protect use. What did Facebook do? What did Sony do other than sue GeoHot? What did the Pentagon do?

Sorry for the rant, I'm just sick of this. At least LulzSec is honest.

Come on Anon! Use you're powers for good and take out ED or Topix!
I was like "what's Topix", so I Googled it, and then I was like "what's so bad about this?" and then I looked at the comments and then I was like "Wow, why are absolutely all the users on this site dickheads?"

Still wondering that last one.

obvious troll is obvious. anonymous is about sharing information, so is facebook. anon has no reason to take out facebook, therefore this is a fake.

It's not just what you post about yourself, but what other people post about, or somehow relating to you, that stalkers eat up. Some people only use FB to get alerts for things they're interested in and never actually post anything, but that isn't always the same for their friends or friends of friends who post pictures and pages of gossip

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they 'came down' well before November 5th. By putting out this release, and saying they won't attack until the 5th, they could easily trick people into not closing their accounts until the 4th. If they had left the date ambiguous, people would likely get scared and close their accounts immediately. However, by putting a date a while in the future, they could attack earlier while the accounts are still up, and thus maintain both the press (cultivated by this release) and the element of surprise.

My two cents. If you have a FB account, I recommend removing personal information like phone numbers or your email.

I'm on the fence about this being a good or a bad thing. On the one hand, I use Facebook a lot to communicate with friends outside of the country or interstate, but on the other hand I'd learn more in class if the teacher didn't have to keep saying "get out of Facebook" to everyone every 2 seconds.

Good luck, Anonymous. I'm pretty sure you're going to need it if you take it down.

Also, that site says anonymous hacked PSN, which I don't think so.
Pretty sure you're right. In fact, I think Anonymous denied it was them multiple times.
