Amen, the sooner these types rot in jail, the better the rest of the world will be.

I'm pretty sure most of anon just complains about video games and talks about my little pony amongst other things. They don't like any form of censorship and pirate many video games and only a handful actually know anything about programing. They as a whole would throw their support behind anything if they thought it would make them look cool. People seem to be crediting the actions of individuals to what seems like a large shadowy cyber terrorist organization because it makes a better story.

As for why, it sounds like it's just Tsujigiri at the moment.

Good lord, if you're going to test something then try not dragging the public into it. Now everybody is going to be breathing down this person's neck because of it.

Then again, it could of been a complete accident on GoDaddy's end and was not a hacking attempt. Just weighting the possibilites here.

Is anonymous, isn't anonymous, like I care. Whoever did it messed with a lot of people and should pay.

And people need to stop supporting Anonymous, they are essentially cyber-terrorists.

I'd like to think Go Daddy was taken down due to those stupid ads of theirs.

I'm sorry, but we still care? Didn't anyone give 'em the memo that the Anon fad is over now?

HostGator made my day. I seriously think that they deserve an award for demonstration of non-corrupt capitalism. In such a hilarious fashion too.

Taking down a site because you disagree with their political and personal beliefs. Nice work.

What were you fighting against again?

Also, best coupon code ever.

As a paid subscriber to GoDaddy, and a small business owner who depends on his website, I am honestly trying to figure out what legal recourse I have here. I mean my business is effectively shut down by hackers.

My business insurance has a clause for "damage due to terrorist attack" and I am trying top decide if this counts as domestic terrorism. Even I think that's a little alarmist, but the point remains. My website has been down now for 48 hours. That's A LONG time in a service related industry.

I'll admit, I am NOT the best person to ask when it comes to whether or not X company is in bed with Y political stance. But that's no reason to effectively attack and possibly kill my business. This was a really poor choice of protest, and I am left now with lost time and money, and still no website.

Any advice?

So Anonymous censors the internet to fight "censoring the internet"... That's taking the high ground for ya!
Like burning the forest to protest logging.

Fuck Anonymous, they've done nothing to champion the common people's cause, I don't care what anyone has to say about it.

That's called the reading comprehension test. Some people in this thread have already failed it.

If I've learned anything from this it's "wait till a hoster has been hacked as another hosting website will offer huge discounts to nab your business and create that long over due site you've been meaning to set up" Good times
